hopefully its a good omen for the french open, think ill be staying up to all hours for the first few days at least. Until the aussies crash out lol
You'd think they'd have the foresight to schedule them on early to suit Aus viewing times so you may not need to stay up late

Good win for Sammy, right time to find a little bit of form, will less the blow a little bit of all those points she'll lose over these two weeks.

Her 9th title, be nice if she can at least go one more to get to 10 before she is done

Peers and Thompson into the dubs semis in Holland. Thompson has had a few good runs in doubles this year. Might be the nail in the coffin for Groth in Davis Cup. Peers is #2 and will pick a few points up on Kontinen who is #1 too.

It creates a genuine option. I think you could throw Kyrgios in with Peers and it would work. No evidence yet of course but if push comes to shove I would have no problem if it happened.

Groth is a solid doubles player but he has lost currency as a singles player and atm we are lacking "suitable" singles players for DC selection. Tomic is in perpetual bed-shitting mode and so he can't be considered even if he made himself available. Millman and Kok are coming back from layoffs and the hope is both can be up to speed in a few months time.

The DC SF tie will be in Belgium, indoors and on clay. Belgium doesn't have any doubles specialists. They generally just pair up their 3rd and 4th best players and hope for the best leaving it for Goffin and Darcis to take care of the singles.

personally, besides fitness the team of Kyrgios, thompson, Kokkanksis & Peers is looking more and more likely. Just can't see how you can justify Groth if Kokkanksis is fit.
