Quick question, was pondering today, reading through the HUN.

With all the scenarios the AFL is trying to come up with to help work through the AFL season while the World Cup is on which include things such as starting in Feb, or having 8-9 week breaks ect. Do you believe the Premiership team of that year will ever be accepted as true Premiers compared to that of the previous year or the following one? Will it go down in history as one of those Premiers that 'didn't deserve it' because of the circumstance? Similiar to the arguments they make for the WWI, WWII Premiers when most of the players were at war, or there was only 4 competing teams ect.

Even if it's only a 15 game season the team that performs over the home and away season and then performs during the finals deserves to be named premiers. I guarantee that if this happened people would still say it doesn't count and call it a bradbury.

There is no reason why it should be seen as a lesser premiership.

Its going to make for a very interesting season but, say a team like Hawthorn this year that had a real tough run with injuries, imagine if they had a nine week break during the 09 season, and got their players up and running it MAY have completly altered the season

As long as the criteria for winning the premiership is the same for everyone, then a flag is a flag.

If you have a look in bay 13, none of the flags won in the history of the game are legitimate anyway.

Well one can look at the 2 strike shortened NFL seasons of 82/83 and 87/88. Funny enough Washington won both but no one puts an asterix next to their Superbowls, they are as valid as any other. So like it was said about the NFL 82 season, 2018 or 2022 will be a sprint rather then a marathon.

They'll be respected fine as long as it's not a Hawthorn 2008 type fluke followed by a completely pea-hearted effort defending it the next year.
What do you think of the 93 premiership then? Keeping in mind this is the Main Board and not Bay 13.

As others have said, as long as everyone has the same rules to abide by then it's a fair flag.
