What are people’s thoughts on the two Melbourne games this arvo?

Despite their win, Hawthorn had a tough game against Geelong. Richmond are coming off a loss, but they have an extra few days rest. I think the Tigers will be pumped to be back at the MCG and they'll be hungry for the win today. Close game, but I think they'll pull away late for the win. If the same Doggies show up, and I don't see how they can magically push a button and improve out of sight today, then Essendon should be in for a comfortable win. Daniher may well be in for a field day on the goal front. Stringer might bag a few against his old club too. I think Essendon will be too tall and too fast....40 plus win for the Bombers. Any player to kick 5 goals might be a good bet @ $3.30 (Sportsbet). Just my two cents :)

Completely agree. Essendon win seems free money, and Essendon by 40+ should be solid. Essendon will be hurting after that loss to Freo and Daniher will want to stand up, so even if the Dogs really try to improve, their selections seem puzzling, and they won't be able to match up on the talls from Essendon. Add in the Stringer factor and I think Essendon win comfortably.

I actually like the Hawks at their line, not sure Richmond have been that good this season, now that we have some context for their win against Carlton. They were smashed by Adelaide and panicked under pressure, I think Hawks will make them panic too.

Banking on the Dogs losing (surely), and hoping for a close one in Richmond-Hawks for both bets to hit:

Ess 40+
Hawks +11.5

and

Essendon to win
Richmond to win

The latter being my larger stake as a backup if the first doesn't get up.

Hmmm
As an Essendon fan, i'd avoid betting on this game. Who knows which team will turn up.
The team that got dominated by freo or the team that defeated Adelaide?

Ive been leaning the eagles all week but feel like the cats would be pretty fired up after their 1 point loss last week. Might pass.
Already took Hawthorn +10.5 but Tigers look good at the moment.
