Of the top 10 forwards based on 2017 average, who is the biggest lock in 2018? (excluding Townsend)

1. Menegola
2. Buddy
3. Heeney
4. Greene
5. JJK
6. Wingard
7. Billings
8. Gray
9. Dixon
10. Dahlhaus

My vote goes to Dahlhaus :lock:
He's a sure thing for a 90-95 average, but could very easily pump out a 100+

Looking at Charlie Curnow at the moment, very risky, but it might just pay off. Obviously has potential and the word coming out of the blues at the moment is that he is training really well and is ready for a big season.

Scored over 100 four times last year, mainly when he increased his number of marks. That should become more consistent as the team improves, he gets used to the structures and gains more size/confidence.

Food for thought...

Damn Menegola's done well for himself after only making his debut in 2016.

Don't think I'll be picking him though, he loses midfield time with Ablett coming back, and when Menegola plays mostly forward he doesn't score that well at all.

I'm looking at Heeney, Greene and either Petracca or C. Curnow at F3.

would avoid dahlhaus. Struggled big time once Mclean came in to take his midfield minutes.
hmm fair enough
always good hearing from a supporter, better perspective of what's going on watching the team play every week

I reckon keep it simple and see in the pre-season who looks like they're going to play the most midfield minutes. If you can find a mid-priced M3 (& M4) that does that (mine was Higgins last season and I don't regret it at all), then you can't really lose and you have your season's end M5/M6 at a discounted price to some extent.

Right now, I'm leaning towards Heeney, Lobb & DeGoey, which gives some wriggle room to have a riskier M4. All those guys could easily end up top 12 with this year's bunch.

lol this this forward thread is tiny compared to the other position threads and it's the forward line that is the most up in the air. Nobody knows WTF they're gonna do :D

Only line that hasn't changed 4 me
Heeney, Daniher, DeGoey and Lobb + 4 rookies

His name is actually Jacob GodSend.

Heeney and Billings are the 2 for me I reckon.
Would even consider taking Greene this year.

I like Daniher, I really do. Think hes the next up and comer KPF but not sure if he's top 10 FWD's this year. Reckon he would go close but might take that risk elseware ie Ah Chee.
Way less proven but less risk at his price and isn't a KPP

One player that I have not seen in any team so far is Buddy.
He has been on my never again list for 2 years now, but looking at his last few years he has played 22 games and of the availible fwds for 2018 he has been in the top few point scorers in those years.
Rollercoaster ride, but if you were going to get him at all, it would be best to start with him.
Thoughts?

He's a rollercoaster

Can be picked up at multiple stages throughout the year
