Combination of things. Love the way he goes about it. Gut feeling. Finished off the year well.
Averaged 92 after the bye and I think he can go even higher.

Plus he'll be a massive POD.

I really like bloody Mitch Robinson.

Has got the game for sure. I'm just concerned that he'll be continually used for run-with roles.

7 years with an average above 80, but only twice above 90.
Durability also comes into play.

Just taking 2017 and combined with the departure of Rocky i can see Mitch going mid 90s to 105

I can see how that may happen. Just tried him in my team, and it just didn't look right.

I ran with Mitch two years back after he pumped out tonnes the last few rounds the year before.

Some 110+ but plenty of 40-60 scores when tagging. Carried him all year, Got burnt good. Too risky for mine.

Id personally back Bennel to outscore Dogga Robinson next year but for alot cheaper, and the fact you know Ross wont waste his talents tagging. Where as Dogga hasnt really got much talent to be fair its more about hard work and toughness for him.

I'm going to disagree on that, never started him, always picked him up in the lower half of the $400ks after a few back-to-back shockers and love the 105-110 average from there on out.

Ok I am always happy to look at from a different point of view. Have not even considered for a few years so have not watched his progress through the year.
There is just something drawing me to him for some reason this year so will need to do some more research.

Had him in until the knee op, will look at upgrade option later. Going with Menegola at present and using change to move Nic Nat on. Not happy with ACL injury/recovery. Cheers.

Menegola, Buddy, Heeney and Billings have the bye but that's only half the bad news!
Laird in defense too but the mid outs are frightening. Danger, Dusty, Fyfe, MCrouch, (Sloane), any other Cats and Swans are out.
A lot of the better teams will have 6 or more of the non tradeable keepers.

Will compromise best team to get coverage with DPP's for the byes. Have Laird, Dusty, Fyfe, Crouch and Billings, so may trade around the Swans. I hate to say it after last year but "Dahlhaus, come on down".

Michael Barlow anyone? Has come back strong leading time trials, GC board think he'll play more as an accumulator, new coach. Last 5 seasons has averaged above 93 apart from last year (84).

Well this is all going to be very interesting given that there are so many good options being floated here. Its all going to come down to prices which I don't have yet.

I didn't include Dahlhaus, but he started like a house on fire (no pun intended) and then faded out. I didn't follow him so I'm not sure.
I think there are a lot of good options that I would expect to increase in value and then pick up some of the others later.

1. Curnow - Clearly on the rise, and this guy is going to be on 100 average if his second half is anything to go by and given that he will keep on improving. If his lows improve then we could even be going 110.


2. Robbie Gray - Purely given that he will more than likely play a dual role in the team, hits the big scores, struggled in some games last year, but I will be expecting big things from Robbie this year. perhaps 115-120


After my two locks I'm unsure. Menogola (Spelling wrong on chart) could be disadvantaged by Ablett. I reckon I'd choose Dixon as a POD over Lobb, but given the number of Port players I'd look at Lobb. Wingard and Boak could also be two other options, but I'd be more inclined to go for Wingard.
