Fyfe has nothing to play for this season...

He's already committed to Freo, he can't win the Brownlow, he won't be playing finals. He won't be rushed back.

I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back, gets another niggle, then is given the last couple weeks of the year off to get games into the kids.

Think I'm pissing him off

Maybe. But he is also the best player in the comp and a guy I wouldn't mind having when everyone jumps off and then does not have any trades left to bring him back in.

I am going to work on bringing in Buddy as an F7. Then can use Walters/Mclean/Heeney as Fyfe cover.

Prognosis would need to be 4 weeks+ for Fyfe to become a POD any less and his ownership will still be 30%+ after "everyone" trades him out.

BRISBANE LIONS v CARLTON

Saturday 7 July, 1.45pm at the Gabba

The Lions will be high on confidence, after a shock win over Fremantle in the west. And the side could very well go into the match unchanged, with Chris Fagan’s side emerging with a clean bill of health. Defender Harris Andrews(concussion/brain bleed) is at least a week away. Carlton, however, may make some adjustments to their line up. Forward Levi Casboult is coming under increasing pressure to hold his spot, with calls for coach Brendon Bolton to blood Harry McKay. Defensive duo Harrison Macreadie (hamstring) and Caleb Marchbank (ankle) could also return.

NORTH MELBOURNE v GOLD COAST SUNS

Sunday 8 July, 1.10pm at Etihad Stadium

For the second week in a row, Ben Jacobs was a late withdrawal before the match because of concussion symptoms. North Melbourne is unsure when Jacobs suffered a head knock, but are confident he’ll be back soon. Meanwhile, veteran forward Jarrad Waite (calf) remains in doubt to face the Suns. Speaking of, a number of Gold Coast players put their hands up for selection, after strong NEAFL performances. Kade Kolodjashnij kicked one goal from 31 touches, as well as taking 14 marks. Will Brodie impressed with one goal from 29 disposals.

PORT ADELAIDE v ST KILDA

Saturday 7 July, 4.05pm at the Adelaide Oval

Darcy Byrne-Jones should return from a club-imposed suspension, but it may not be at the expense of his replacement Jack Trengove, who impressed on debut for Port with 21 touches. Jack Watts is still out of the side, with coach Ken Hinkley favouring the likes of Todd Marshall and Lindsay Thomas. But after kicking two goals from 18 touches in the SANFL he could return. At St Kilda, senior defender Nathan Brown (hamstring) won’t feature. But Jimmy Webster (groin) is nearing a return and may be catapulted back into the side. Sam Gilbert was a strong VFL performer and could also be considered.

Also, there was speculation M Crouch had a hand injury, but he hasn't been named on todays injury list for the crows.
