I’d give an underdone Giro a shot before Sheridan or DPearce to replace hill this week

I get what your saying, there is no future in Pearce and possibly Sheridan.

But if we load up with too many kids at the same time, does that not scream that we will get smacked by lots and then everyone goes into melts.

That's the question, we have plenty of kids in, perhaps replace some that are getting tired but keep the experience up as well.

Could we seriously win a game with that amount of under 10 game players in at the same time?

I think people will want to think that yes we could, because of what that would represent. Realistically I'd rather we drip the young players into the side as the older players leave so we have a chance at being competitive - everyone likes it when we win.

Not normally, but we are playing the Saints at home. Gives the injured older players a week to get back in for the SCG game. If it was the SCG game this weekend I would agree with you that it would do more harm than good.

At home, absolutely

It’ll force Cerra and Brayshaw to step up again, and give giro a free licence to run and gun. His energy will be great under lights in a ‘full’ stadium

Let’s be honest, hill has been very average with the injury and id rather be moaning from the stands about giro bolting off the half back and finishing with a miss kick then seeing Pearce and Sheridan do it

it amazes that Hill will play with injuries when his track record is that he can't play with injuries.

at some point he will probably pull a Daniel Wells and be like, guys, i'm not playing 80% because it makes me look bad.

Like Salim has mentioned over numerous threads, we could have a strong run home after the bye if we get our key components up and running.

Dying to see Logue / Darcy / Bennell play this year.

When Bradley Hill first went down it was a 1 to 2 week injury. The TBA thing is really worrying me.
To be fair it's nothing structural, just bone bruising - you can't really treat it just have to wait for it to settle

It's probably really minor but lingering

Alex Pearce, any concers? Almost looked like we were hiding him a little on the weekend.

Also, he looked really significantly hobbled at one stag early in the third which resulted in the second goal for the Saints. He didn't leave the ground but for about 30 seconds looked totally cooked.

That isn't surprising that he looked cooked. He covered 17km in that game, a full 1100m further than anyone else on the field. He was also the fastest runner on the ground and maintained the highest average speed of all too.

Alex?

There was an incident when StKilda were coming through the middle at the beginning of the third where he looked badly hobbled. Really struggled to walk for a small period and then seemed to bounce back and play on.

He's definitely carrying something. It seems to be worse at the start of a match/quarter until he warms up and then he's able to play through it.
Along with the St Kilda one above it happened at the start of the derby and in the first quarter of the Richmond game where he looked hobbled but then played on.

I recall one of the training reports guys mentioning he had a bruised heel which kinda makes sense (and supports the Optus surface theory too). But with his injury history you would think that we would have to rest him at some point to let him get over it??

Yes Alex. DP runs that in a week (I can say that, I'm his buddy).
