Titch should be in every team this season and will be locked as captain every week. Will be like the Swanny days from 2009-2011. If you don't have Titch from round 1, you may as well not play this season
inb4 Titch scores a 60 first up against the Pies and Bradkli has an ubermelt which includes the words 'pain', 'punishment' and 'potato'.

I’d cop that for the Melts

Guys Mitch Duncan.

His stats from last year are pretty healthy. He didn't go under 90 once all year, he has a huge ceiling (2 games 160 above) and had a massive finals series.

I read an article today (AFL app) that danger will play more time up forward. He also said that gaz will have stints up there as well. He mentioned he wants improvement from menegola, Duncan, Guthrie and Blicavs. I can't see Duncan getting tagged with the other stars around and he seems durable. But of a POD as well. He seems like the one guy who will play as a fully fledged MID. I've just swapped beams for him.

Imo he'll go back to his 2014-16 scoring

People talk about Menegola regressing due to lack of midfield time, I feel Duncan will cop it first from GAJ coming in and he will go back to that jack of all trades role he used to play

For me Menegola was playing Duncan's old role last year and I feel he'll be used in a similar fashion, he should still rack up a 95-100 average.

I'd say the increase in scoring is attributed to his improvement as a player. What i took from the article is he will play as a fully fledged MID this year and I can't see Gaz affecting his scoring, he may even improve it. It looks as though Danger and Gaz may swap up forward so overall it shouldn't have too much of an effect on him.

Didn't read the whole thread, Matt Crouch? He seriously broke out in the second half of the season after I traded him

Joel Selwood said Duncan was his standout pre season guy

Hyperbole? Who knows

Upgrade target

Has form in blitzing home like JPK and Jelwood of old

Much younger version though, maybe it's his new normal now

Well, maybe not that much younger. But never put together an end of season like he did last season before

I’m looking at selecting 2 of Dusty/Zorko & Crouch. Crouch free’s up 50K that could be useful for rookies.

His hammies are stuffed and imo it's not his hammies that are the issue, it's probably how he runs or a collective group of core muscles constantly giving up on him, which in turn place his hammies under duress

Will be a minor miracle if he plays say half a season at AFL level

The questions I have is:

a) Will Titch go up in price?
b) To start the season is he a better captain option than Zerrett?

Titch is a lock in my team and currently I am by passing Zerrett, but If Zerrett is a better captain than Titch, that extra 80K could be super useful.

Note: This is just random thinking as opposed to something I would do

Can't understand your logic behind thinking Zerrett could be a better captain's option than titch. WHY?

In the start of the season last year Merrett was toe to toe with Mitchell (Mitchell was better and Zerrett had a couple of low scores). It was more a question of, as he has the capability of doing, if Zerrett goes toe to toe with titch at the start of the year the 80K could be used elsewhere in my starting team.

Then, if Titches price remained constant (or lower) and not went up to unreachable heights, is it worth contemplating.

Just a thought.

Some of the underpriced Premo are very tempting, but thinking I'm just going to pay the extra cash and hopefully start with 4 of the top 10 players instead.

So what's everyone's predictions on the top 10, and who's the best options to start with?

My midfield is currently
Titchell, Zerrett, Jelly, Gibbs/Duncan, Coniglio, Bradshaw, Dow, LDU with Kelly, Worpel and Barry on the bench

I've downgraded Danger to Gibbs/Duncan, the uncertainty of him playing forward and the possibility of throwing up a poor score has me thinking he might be a better upgrade target. Also allows me to have the 3 premium Rookies on the ground.
