For some reason, Dew has been sending in undersized teams all year
I keep hoping one day I'll turn up to Metricon and see our boys muscled up and bulked
It was an eye opener against Melbourne and worse v Geelong
It's why despite his inability to play football I always hope Jesse Lonergan will find a role

I hope we don't get desperate enough to play Powell, but you can understand the temptation given he just looks like he knows what he's doing
Actually thought Schoey was more than decent in the NEAFL on the weekend
I look at these young guys and try to uncloud the crystal ball to answer the question
"Who's going to play 200 games for us??"

Greenwool but need to draft him first . I actually though schoenfield play his best game so far in NeAfl .

For some reason, Dew has been sending in undersized teams all year and the results haven't been flattering. There is no reason why Lynch, Wright, Day and Crossley can't remain on the list or even in the same side. Throw in Witts, Thompson and Leslie and you've got a side that can man up on West Coast's talls with May loose and Nicholls in reserve. At the moment Lynch is half-fit, Wright coming back from injury, Crossley's a rookie, May's injured and Nicholls is out for the season, so they appear to have given 2MP a solid run through the ruck and played Goober one out in the goalsquare.

In Day's defence, he's 9 games returned from a 12 month injury that he's lucky to have recovered this far from. He will improve in increments, have a solid offseason and come back next season with overall better fitness and touch. Don't give up on Daysie.

Of course, with Lynch going the succession becomes much clearer, especially with the Academy talent coming through with Graham, Koenen and Gilmore all measuring 194/5cm, as well as Scrimshaw and Ballard joining May in that height category. By 2020, the Suns could actually be the tallest team in the comp and leading the contested marking leaderboard.
Day hadn't shown much prior to his injury though. 107 games played for 74 goals. I doubt more than 20 of those were actually played in defence despite people calling him our swingman. He's too quiet in too many games, pull the plug I reckon.

NEAFL is fools Gold, remember even Matt Shaw looked a fun at that level. Will is already a step above but I agree he needs time

Suns2 missing a few from last week because of injuries to a few and the Allies boys. GWS2 haven't been too good this year so it should still be a good contest. 10 AFL listed players, a couple of guys I hope we Rookie list and the best of the Academy that aren't involved with the Allies. Some bottom agers, but that is balanced out by the talent across the team.

1QTR GWS 21 GC 19. Schoenfeld got to be the best player so far. I like Wright's ruck work. Powell is our best tackler. Lyons still ordinary.
Impressed with Schoenfield in recent game, his kicking also not bad .

I am not sure why the structure just fall apart in the second quarter , first quarter some good entries inside 50 and then second quarter long bomb .
