Really like the way the Heat line-up is coming together. Selfishly happy that Starc had a good Gabba Test, because I wouldn't mind Patto being kept out of the Test side until after BBL.

When AB replaces Banton, Heazlett, Renshaw or Cutting to open. Problem will be a concerning lack of batting depth due to our lack of all-rounders, but actually a pretty solid bowling line-up for once. Lalor's good season last year gets him in, but I wouldn't complain if they selected Steketee. Will be some selection headaches when Burns and Lab become available.

Definitely would go with Heazlett at the top once Banton goes. His T20 returns have been a little lean so far, but he has played a fair bit just getting stuck in a position down the order. If he plays as he does in the power plays during 50 over matches he'll do just fine opening.

I imagine they'll love him like the rest of his teammates seem to. Conway carries on after almost every wicket, I doubt Stanlake and Neser will carry it around with them once the match ends.

His carry on is a load of absolute garbage. There’s room for some talk in the game, but that’s complete shit. Something should be done about it.

I think all the squads are now final with Renegades having to rush around to replace Shinwari and Ashraf after they were picked in Pakistan's test squad. Harry Gurney will now be available for the whole tournament for them and they've signed Richard Gleeson from Lancashire.

I'm no expert, but I'm not sure giving the captaincy to a bloke not long back off having a break for some mental health issues is exactly the brightest idea.

I mean he already had it, so it was kind of assumed again.

BBL cricket can be hella stressful though, it always seems so when he’s involved too but if he wants to do it they will let him.

Renshaw hasn't been completely woeful against the white ball this year to be fair. Handful of decent innings for Qld, Kent and the Heat.
