But technically no one is missing out on the BBL, ch7 are showing as many games as 10 did

There are still BBL games not shown on Ch7 while they were all shown on Ch10 and they have reduced the number of games this season compared to last season, the regular season will finish at the end of January like it used to when Ch10 showed it so Ch7 are probably showing less games now than Ch10 did.

The number of games have not been reduced unfortunately (this season is actually two matches longer due to the new finals system), they're just not spread out as much now. Ch 10 had 40 H&A games in their last season, same number 7 have currently.

Still remember watching the cricinfo ticker go over for Craig Simmons last over six to win a game at the WACA against Tassie one summer.

And the ABC Grandstand call of Aaron Heal smoking one through point to the fence to steal a game off the last ball against Queensland.

Rhett Lockyear & Mark Divin. There's some obscurity

Because you've posted in this thread it was rolled over into the first game and you'd have got caught up in that. Just unwatch the latest thread and if that doesn't do it I will have a scratch of my chin.
Scratch that chin good sir.
Still getting them, and searched 8 pages of this sub-forum for not one relevant thread watch.

I have a bad feeling that the Melbourne derby on January 4, a rematch of last season's final, will be exclusive to Fox. A marquee game like that really should be on 7 despite the misgivings we may have about their coverage.
4th is a Saturday so it's likely

Why? I’m guessing it’s the MCG game, therefore you want to encourage people to attend, get another huge crowd.

For mine, the broadcasts of BBL have been poor ever since it went off Ten and 7/Foxtel picked it up.
Nowhere near as good or exciting, all seems a bit pedestrian and deflated, much like the crowds.

And this seemed evident from the very first game channel 7 broadcast. Just something about it was off.

The novelty factor has worn off with the increased games and people realising it’s just a really shit standard of cricket

This, it’s gone from a novelty to a genuine league and the interest has gone with it. Games have gone from being somewhat of an “event” to just another fixture

I feel like CA were hoping that people would genuinely support teams like they do with a footy team by now. Hasn't really worked though, as much as I do like the Strikers to win I'm not going to lose sleep over it. Plus if you're at a game and the opposition is 4/20, then you hope that they 'make a game of it' which is unlike basically every other pro sport.

Agreed on both fronts, I get a bit irritated when the scorchers lose badly but at the end of the day not that fussed. Basically doubling the amount of games played in the space of 18 months has not worked at all (particularly hasn’t worked well in Perth given that supply of tickets has increased by nearly 500% thanks to the new stadium)

spot on,I take the kids to a few hurricanes games and if we get a heap of early wickets I'm pissed off,we just want to see some big hitting,I bet most Sixers fans went home happy after watching lynn the other night.
