Seriously though it screws up the comp by having impact on playoff relevant games.

Without going into detail of every team, how could you finish higher than me for example given I beat you H2H and had significantly more points for? Makes no sense

Look, it's a good question. But I've always used what ESPN says are the final standings verified by the week 1 playoff bracket (which in the past had the seed number next to each team), but this year doesnt show that but it's still following the same format of 12 vs 11 at the very bottom, 10 vs 9 above it, etc.

Might be worth changing to division record as the primary tie breaker next year purely because it'd result in less random results deciding draft order

It makes no sense to me, Badgers beat Donkeys but end up 3 picks ahead, I beat you but end up 1 pick ahead, Manu beat me but ends up 4 picks ahead, and then you throw in talk of a coin flip lol

Its not that simple when you have 5 teams on the same record. I believe you'd need to work out the record of each of those 5 teams against the other 4

I’ve said H2H is bs in these comps, especially when you may come up against a non div rival and your only h2h one team may have been impacted by byes that particular week.
Not saying to change it for this draft order as it’s too late but worth reviewing across all comps for next year

i think points for is probably the fairest then. tho i still think theres merit in h2h type recs, as sometimes you might score bad all year but for a bunch of games you out scored direct opponents you ended up tied with.
in regards to this year, h2h probably couldnt be used, so it defaulted to intradivision record, and then coin flip. so maybe it resolved the ties on intra div before resorting to coin flip. one or two of us might have had a better intradiv rec.

espn used H2H to break first the tie between two teams in the same divisions.
then it put the worst of those teams in one group and the best of those teams in another group.
in the EAST....
gg 2-0 vs wizard.
so wizard seeded 4th, gg 3rd
in the WEST....
manureid vs pb74 1-1
so it went to intradiv to break these two teams.
pb 2-4, manureid 1-5
so manureid seeded 4th, pb 3rd
in the CENTRAL
dspeed 2-0 over balmain
so balmain seeded 4th, dspeed 3rd
all the 4th seeds put together and then ties broken between them.
thats why wizard, manureid and balmain are the very last three teams in the final standings.
