Welcome to the draft thread!
In this thread, you'll have the opportunity to select the base location and primary colour for your Flag Football team. Drafting location and colour provides a good way to break the competition up without the hassle of doing bids that I then have to wade through. It also provides a good challenge to those lower down the list.
The Draft
The draft is pretty simple. When it's your turn, you'll have 24 hours to select your primary colour and location from the lists provided below.
If you haven't made your selection inside 24 hours, the next person on the list can go and the draft continues on, and you can jump back in whenever you see the post to make a pick from what's left on the board.
Try to tag the next person in once you've had your pick. If someone isn't tagged, the 24 hours starts from the tag, not from the previous selection.
If you make a selection that's already been made, your entire pick is void and you'll have to re-select under the same rule as if you missed your 24 hour window. I'll do my best to highlight selected options in red so that you know not to select them, but I may not always get to them in time for your pick, so make sure to check.

The available locations are as follows:

Melbourne North/West - Fizzler
Melbourne South/East - caloschwaby

Gold Coast
North QLD - fancyscum

Your team is to be located within the boundaries of your selected location, however it doesn't have to be named exactly what is listed on the board. It could be named after the city itself, the state, the region, or even a prominent suburb. For example, the Hobart side could be "Hobart" or "Tasmania". Both Melbourne sides could be called "Melbourne", with different nicknames. Similarly, both Sydney sides could be called "Sydney", but the Western Sydney side can't be called "Sydney City", or "Bondi". If you're unsure, send me a message to ask.
The Colours
The available colours are as follows:
Black - cannavo
Navy - caloschwaby
Royal - Fizzler
Light Blue
Red - _damo_
Maroon - WonderT
Pink - Barrybran
Orange - Alex 3549
Yellow - magpienato
Green
Aqua - fancyscum
Purple
Your jersey must be primarily the colour you select in the draft. You may choose any secondary colours you wish, and your visor and shorts may be a secondary colour as long as your jersey is primarily your selected colour. Again, if you're worried you haven't used enough of your primary colour, send me a message and ask. I'll have final say.
Entrants will design 1 flag football uniform. That will consist of:
- A padless American Football style jersey
- Soccer style shorts
- A visor style cap
- A custom logo to be used on the shorts and visor, and jersey if desired. No borrowed logos
Because of the low contact nature of the sport, no pads or helmets are worn. Because this competition is held on the sand, no shoes or socks will be worn.
The style guide for this competitions is as follows. Please locate your logos, numbers and player name in these positions. You may add a team logo to your jersey if you wish, but it's not required. Your team logo must be something you've drawn yourself, and name and numbers can be any font or colour you choose provided they contrast well with the jersey colour.

You may begin designing as soon as you've made your pick. Submit your entry in 1 image. There obviously aren't any templates immediately available for a comp like this so you'll have to put something together. Once the last pick is made, i'll set a due date for submission.
