Teams 2019 Fantasy - Rate My Pre-Season Team

Can't decide on these two strats:

Team 1 (the rookie minimiser)


Team 2 (the safer, not having to bring in Laird/Lloyd/Grundy but having 2 more rookies on the field option)

Cripps and Brayshaw I reckon.

My initial thoughts however surely there’s a few tags on the way for Cripps. M Crouch huge ball magnet, won’t get tagged and easy fixture. Cripps is by far the better player but in my mind those factors make it hard to decide

Wondering what a average round score is?
I did the projected score of my team and is 2246 with P.Cripps as Captain. 2252 with Cogs as Captain and 2255 with Gawn as Captain.

My thought is to maybe put M.Crouch down to Sheed and then Ridley up to Crisp but then I do like having Crouch in there. Or maybe even Billings to Worpel and then Crouch up to Cripps.

I would stick with what you have. I keep tearing my hair out choosing between Oliver and MCrouch. I want both but can only have one of them. Think you should stick with Crouch. He is underpriced without a doubt.

Thanks mate. Yeah that is a tough one. I would go with Oliver if I could afford him. I personally think Melbourne will be up there as one of the form teams this year and can easily see Oliver going around 115 for the year.

It's a good looking team. Fairly similar layout to what I've gone with. I honestly can't see where you could spend the 127k besides on maybe getting some of the higher priced rookies when teams are announced but it isn't enough to turn your mid prices into guns.

So I say stick with it.

Witts to Gawn is exactly 127k. I'd go for that to be honest, although I think Witts will safely average 95.

If not, Burgess to Collins. Better JS for my mind.

I would drop Laird to Lloyd. Will that give you enough cash to get Cogs/Oliver? Reason for dropping him is his two lowest scores last year were when both Smith and Milera played behind the ball (last 2 rounds of the season) and they will be playing those spots to start this season

He won't necessarily be outside of the top 6, but Lloyd is cheaper and will be top 6. Laird should drop in value if Milera and Smith take points off him whereas Lloyd should roughly hold his value

Fair enough! Still think the top 2 will be those boys so it's a win win either way. For me, the last few rounds of the year was an indication which made me change Laird to Lloyd
