Who's protesting?
If you want your club to be 'looked after' as you put it, then maybe make contact with them and ask them to advocate on your behalf.

Complaining about it on a forum = bitterness.
Doing something about it = constructive.

Oh wow, you don't even understand the basics of population.
Quit drinking your own bathwater, lol at "basics of population", you sound like you're 15. Of course melbourne has a higher population, but are you really going to try and tell me that if a big Melbourne club hosted the reigning premiers on a friday night that it wouldn't bring ratings?

I'm not complaining about Richmond's draw, I'm saying Geelong have an unfair advantage compared to other clubs.Interstate clubs with a home gtound advantage like Geelong's have to travel by plane 10 times a year, while Geelong just drive up the highway .
At least we're a chance, old straight sets Geelong scrape in every year after beating Freo by 150 points at Kardinia.

You sound like a really rational person

Who else remembers when the crows had that ridiculous dream draw a few years ago, where their doubles ups (from memory) were:

GWS: first year
Gold Coast: second year
Port Adelaide and Fremantle: Who were both cellars dwellers at the time.

8 wins gifted straight off the bat

You finished 1st in the Home and Away season and you got the 5th easiest draw...Pretty sure it is easy.

Here are the Champion Data draw rankings this time last year, and re-assessed in May.

Club|Nov '17|May '18
\Fremantle|1st|8th
\Richmond|2nd|16th
\West Coast|3rd|10th

Easy games on paper turn into difficult games based on form. It's worth as much as a long-range climate forecast.

You sound like a really rational person
I'm saying the same thing as the AFL website cowboy, 'WE SAY: Geelong was granted its wish of nine home games at GMHBA and history has proven playing at the venue is a distinct advantage for the Cats. '

How do Richmond again walk out with such a good draw. Win a premiership, then the following year finish 1st. Hey let’s reward them with an easy draw!
Much harder this year.
We actually play 2 sides above us.:)

You just proved my point - of course that would bring ratings.

The complaint was that Melbourne teams dominate the Friday primetime slots. The reason for that is self evident. If you don't understand that I can't help you.

Richmond have 7 games in a row at the MCG to finish off the year.

AFL clearly don't want to make them travel too much.
Conveniently overlooks the fact that just for first 16 weeks of the season we only get to play there 6 times, and the fact that none of those 6 are against travelling teams
