R8 - Adelaide, AO (home), Saturday, 7:10pm

That will make or break our year. Snag 3 wins in that group and it will help the next batch of games...or we could easily be 2-6 and finished.

Very tough. I can't see us making the finals on this draw to be honest

It could have been a lot tougher to be fair. We can't play the Suns 22 times! The wins are there if we are good enough.

I can't find any reason to be unhappy with the fixture personally, however as Macca said, on a closer look it is bloody tough. An extremely tough run across those friday night games and a tough run home.

Honestly based on our list and teams ability (which has been proven now over several years), I think a real generous guess is we might bank 12 wins, but the reality looks like around the 10 win mark.

Not sure if I'd rather us just bomb out, and finish bottom 4 for a good pick and an early Ken sacking, or whether I'm happier continually finishing mid table out of the finals.

Our draft picks are going to need to be superstars straight out of the gate for us to make much of this year.

I'm quite optimistic about this fixture. Double ups are Adelaide, Richmond, North Melbourne, Brisbane, Fremantle. Given we are always going to double up against Adelaide this is about as good as we could have hoped for; 2 sides who finished around the same as us on the ladder (2018 2-1), 2 who finish bottom 6 (2018 2-1) and a top team we match up well against (2018 1-0).

A good side makes finals with this fixture.

My stab at separating by time slots. At least by 18 maybe 19 Saturday nights we will know if we are happy or pissed off on Sunday. Only 3 Sunday games so far and only one shitty 12.40pm game v GC May 19 so weather should still be ok.

Looks like we may only get 5 games shown around the country from this draw on Free TV. The 3 Friday night games the Rd 8 Saturday night showdown, Port v Geelong Rd 14 should get the gig over Saints and Lions, and maybe Rd 22 North v Port over Freo v Essendon. No Sunday 3.20pm AEST games so no 7 games on Sunday.
