Does anyone think that the players that got re rookied like Ryan Nyhuis will Change numbers from 43 to like a number in the 30's?

Maybe not as big a deal as 43 is at Carlton but it was Roger Hayden's number and he's still part of the coaching staff, so it would be an honour to wear it.

Just read on twitter (take from that what you will as it may just be someone's opinions:

27 - Sturt
28 - Schultz
29 - Valente
34 - Bewley
35 - Watson
45 - Carter

I really, really hope more_of_bito's idea gets up:
27 - Sturt
28 - Giro (rookie upgrade move next to his mate)
29 - Valente
34 - Bewley (Williamstown boys)
35 - Schultz (Williamstown boys)
42 - Watson ( rookie number)
45 - Carter

sounds like a good choice for #29. SA boy seems to be of good character and importantly not a forward. Being a midfielder will help limit the comparisons to Pav

Timing was right to bring back the 29.

The longer it was left out of action it would have been more pressure when it got brought back.

Plus pav has stated he was desperate to have it return and not have left blank.

29 is just a number. That’s clearly what Pav himself thinks so that’s good enough for me.

It’s kind of cool that Valente was our second pick in the draft, came from South Australia, was state captain etc though.

What was done in jumper 29 is the past makes no difference to what career Valente has at this club though.
