Not focusing on RDT this year, so going to go after players I'm not willing to go after in AFL Fantasy

Just curious as to why you are focusing on fantasy rather than RDT?

If Macrae gets injured you'll have to waste a trade.
At the moment I won't...
Any player can get injured and I feel too much negativity is being given to Brouch. But, time will tell.
Ignoring the debut season due to plausible JS issues, Macrae has played 91% of his possible regular season games and Crouch has played 63%. Treloar, who copped big hammie last season has still played 88% of his possible games.

Last thing you want is Crouch going down in the first quarter where you'll cop a monetary hit as well as a trade. His durability makes him a much bigger risk than say... Sloane. Who is 2k dearer (but also injured last season).

Speaking of Cows, thoughts on Sloane as a starting M5? The risk is obviously how tagged to shit he gets.

Tossing up a couple of options at M4/M5 - Neale/Sloane vs Brayshaw/Sheed.
As much as I love Sheed, I'd be taking Angus Brayshaw. Huge ceiling and a strong tackling game.

Sheed had 40 disposals in JLT2 but lays 1-2 tackles a game if that, Sheed is also cheap enough that you can upgrade to him pretty easily in the coming weeks, Brayshaw not so much.

Sheed does represent tremendous value, possibly the best value in comp IF he can score 110+ on the reg. Too iffy for me just yet though, def a bandaid/injury upgrade before round 3 though if things go pear shaped quickly

Rolling Lockout, and the general low visibility of RDT (and prizes). With the differences in the 3 formats, there is no real media content out there for RDT in terms of podcasts or websites either. I like to consume Fantasy content, and it all tends to revolve around Fantasy or SC.

Also the cash league I was in moved to AFL Fantasy

Fair enough. I don't even remotely consider the prize factor as I feel that's a pipe dream. I have found coach's panel (on facebook) spends equal time discussing RDT, SC or fantasy which I have found great. I don't know whether or not they have tried but I have found it disappointing that RDT hasn't aligned itself with some sort of media outlet. I will still continue with RDT (even with the lockout) as I dislike both of the others.

Ahh, didn't realise AF went to rolling lockout. Boo.

You misread, I'm weighing up Neale and Sloane OR Brayshaw and Sheed. Leaning towards the latter, as I feel Dom's the upper mid-pricer who's got the most likely growth. Even if he doesn't make the lovely 105+ average he looks like he might be a good platform to go to the 110+ players at the bye weeks.

Every year I say I won't take the punt on underpriced injury prone players but every year I get sucked in.

Holding on strong so far with no Brad Crouch, Libba, Rocky or Sloane (maybe a bit harsh on Rory). Only 2 more hours!

You can do it!

I've got no problems with the Crouch pick, he's a much better scorer than his brother imo, if he plays 20 games and averages 100 it's a win

99.9% sure this is how I'll go

I'll turf Hore now seeing Scrimshaw has been picked. Will go Atkins down to Gibbons to fund it but I don't think the difference will be too big between them two seeing they're both being earmarked to play as pressure forwards.

Burgess' DPP will be handy, only reason I'll stick with him, seems to have ok JS too.

If Hore goes big the first two weeks then Parker will probably make way and I'll send Burgess forward, but I don't think I'll have to. Parker seems like he has good JS too though which could help if Drew/Balta get dropped
