Would rather spend the extra 100K and go with someone like Jack Newnes at 481K. Shifted into a full time mid role by all accounts, and has scored decently in the past. Safe 75 at worst, 95-100 at best

F4 is proving to be a hard one for me
Can't go premium because I have to spend up on R2 now. Worpel has occupied that spot for a while but I'm not sold on how he fits into a full 22
Grundy did nothing in the pre-season last year as well... just a little run around and get a few hits to advantage... then bang.

How so? Only a consideration at this stage, but he looks like he has the same role as Billings, just on the opposite flank. He's also 140K cheaper, so that helps too. Just one that I'm keeping in mind at this stage

Usually have an 'interrupted presason, no selection' type policy for my team. Grundy falls into that. Seems criminal leaving him though. On the fence currently but the fact he seemed off the pace has me wondering what I can do with the money saved

Last I heard Kennedy was going to play an intraclub match this week so could still line up round 1 (though I doubt it since it's in Brisbane)
All I meant is that I think Allen is ahead of Petch in the pecking order
Btw, another stat that's not on AFL.com.au is the marks stat for each Pies game. They really have changed their game style, which means there should be some monster Collingwood fantasy rounds this year for a fair few players. 115-60 marks in the Freo game, and 120-70 marks in the Carlton game. Controlled possession is definitely a win for fantasy. Adelaide the other side with this game style, from what I've seen (and West Coast of course)

It's tough because there are literally no appealing forward rookies as well. Currently have Setterfield F4 which really isn't ideal but then again is it worth paying up for someone like Worpel at F4 when you don't really have any idea where their average will fall?

You're not wrong. Outside of here, I doubt anyone else has considered him. Papley is another one, but he's a bit more risky I reckon

Newnes is definitely a juicy pick. He scored between 80-88 a year for 4 years until last year. If he does have a mid role then he could be 20 points under price.

Yea its unlikely the 150k people that play check this thread. Anyway your start and end teams will be completely different so it doesnt matter if people copy your team
Argh, can't make up my mind about this dilemma: Taranto or Rockliff, Taranto or Rockliff, Taranto or Rockliff. Just keep going back and forth. Taranto was locked until Rocky's 180. Taranto is good, but the pig has such a high ceiling and he looked back to his absolute best in that game. Full pre-season and dropped some kgs, it's really hard to ignore

Fingers crossed there's only 1 more podcast before the season kicks off.
Rocky for me as he's 60k cheaper and for that reason only. Been thinking about this one a fair bit myself and as much as I want Taranto I can't find room for him (at the moment).
I've literally done this to fit both of them in, to see what it would look like (Gawn went to Goldy and I lost a defender, so Duursma came off the bench. Cousins is too valuable as a cash cow to leave out, which is why he's on the bench):
