So should we keep track of which rookies have been "locked in"

So far we know thst:

- Lukosious and Burgess (GC)
- Walsh (Car)
- "up to four debutants" (PA) - potentially Butters, Duursma, Drew and ??
Rozee

First major change I've made in awhile...Ive downgraded Tim Taranto (660k) to Dom Sheed (539k) just so I can get a little more consistency and job security up front but upgrading Gryan Miers (170k bench) to Lincoln McCarthy. Results in just Setterfield and Drew being fielded as 'traditional' rookies as opposed to another 170k bloke.

Am I robbing Peter to pay Paul here?
My worry for Sheed is, what happens when Gaff and Shuey are in

I'm pretty confident on Atkins and Clark, but not confirmed as of yet

They were both in during JLT, in both games. Still scored like crazy. That was my main concern too, but he's riding the high of his Grand Final success, and playing like a new man.

Have to remember, Sheed is still a high draft pick. Pick 11 if I recall correctly? Definitely has the talent and is in the right age bracket, just needed the confidence of the club to back him in

Did Shuey play JLT2, I remember him rugged up on the bench

I keep looking at my team and for some reason boom man Angus Brayshaw is the one that I keep fretting about... Awesome last year, awesome during JLT, yet I just worry that he has become so damaging (even more so spreading now from the 666 formation) that he surely becomes the main Melbourne target for a tag. I love picking the non-flashy Brad Crouch types (already got him btw) who won't get a tag in a million years, and whenever I have a player that is being hyped up it just makes me nervous. Am I jumping at shadows over-thinking this?

Racked up 40 disposals with both of them in the side in the JLT
Problem wasn’t really them both being in. Shuey and Gaff scores 68 and 57 respectively so that’s at least another ~100 points that have to come from somewhere. Shuey played half a game and Gaff was taking it very easy. Good pickup while Gaffs out but a little 50/50 after that. In that sense he’s about the same risk as Taranto I suppose.. You’d be hoping he smashes it an averages 120 over the first 2 rounds to skyrocket his price though.

Shouldn't get tagged Round 1 against Port and has a pretty soft draw after that. If he has a couple of down games, he'll be at a price where you can have anyone you want. Wouldn't stress too much

He only needs to go 75 to beat his average though? So even if he cruises along at 90, he's still 15 PPG under-priced. That's why I'm not too fussed

Question to me is where do you put him? M5?

Yeah that’s true. Just unsure how his role will be affected once Gaff and Shuey are both 100% up and running. On the other hand.. he’d probably be in my team if he wasn’t West Coast (don’t pick players from my team usually :p)

11 is right but also remember, we had pick 6 that was locked in for Sheed but traded with Collingwood for 11 knowing no one between 6-10 would take Sheed.
I'm not expecting massive scores every week, just beat his average, make some money & hold the fort for a little while. Definite upgrade.
I'd love it if he bridges the gap in dollars to Cripps.
I have Macrae, Coniglio, Treloar to lead my midfield.

If rookies are defined by anyone under Walsh's $270k,
I have 4 onfieild (and naturally everyone on the bench)

Duursma
Walsh
Setterfield
Drew

Also, where did Setterfield get his price from?
His original pick years ago?
Harsh fantasy.
Throw us a bone.
