I’m a bit behind because of the Bifooty crash so apologies for the mass quoting but here goes.

Anyone at all still going Zerrett? Can’t believe the lack of teams he’s in
I still feel Zerrett presents value, but at this stage I see Gus Brayshaw as better value and I cant fit them both in. Also unsure if he’ll start the season slowly hence I’m thinking an upgrade target instead.

It is a lot of upgrading to do, but I've got to have something to vent about...

I'm not starting any of the big 3 backs as i think they'll all start with a splutter.
Laird - in Brown's lockdown role until about r8, Lloyd - someone pointed out a tough start for him and illness in JLT2, Whitfield - playing new role wait and see...
This may be crazy so please feel free to shout me down, but I’m actually not starting any ‘premo’ defenders this year! I’ve got Newman at D1 then Smith, Williams, Ridley, Clark, Duursma. I see all of Newman, Smith and Williams averaging 90+

So who is starting Bailey Smith?

Only played a half for each JLT game so he would have averaged 60 & 64 if played for a full game. Huge junior numbers and is on the same quality level as Walsh.
I wold be tempted but currently have Butters instead, along with Walsh and B.Scott on field. If Smith starts well and Libba tanks I may make a knee jerk downgrade decision...

Glad I regularly screen shotted my team, most previous teams look better than current.
Then I realise it's the Grundy/Lobb ruck combo that boosts the fwd line.
Currently have Grundy & Gawn.
So still rocking midprice madness up forward.
Dilemmas like,
Gawn & Higgins/Worp/McCarthy mid pricers
or
Lobb & Dunkley

May as well stick with premium rucks as elsewhere I have Laird, Macrae, Coniglio & Treloar etc pinching dollars.

If he played for Carlton or Gold Coast I would be all over him but it’s hard to see how much game time he’s going to get in that doggies midfield. Better options available for cheaper I would have thought.

I think he is good enough for a bench rookie spot
Yep, Griggs replacement

Main concern for me is limited minutes. I think they'll ease Lynch in over the first couple of weeks, once Lynch is fit they might revert back to a smaller structure again with Lynch pinch hitting.

I notice that Josh Kelly is not really in any teams that I've seen. He doesn't appear on the AFL injury list like Merrett does even though Merrett actually played JLT. So does anyone know what the deal is with Kelly and why pretty much everyone is staying clear of him?

Difficult to say, but here is my thinking.

Midfield is our strongest area, we have the fewest injuries here too. Yet off a supposedly limited preparation he is getting a round 1 debut. In a side with a decent midfield.

He has speed and foot skills and delivered an excellent spearing ball I50 in the JLT 2 game in Ballarat. He does need to adjust to the game speed, but all rookies will.

We play 4 out of our first 7 at Etihad/Colonial/Docklands/WTF is it called and two more at the G.

If he was last picked, his realistic competition for spots are: West, JJ (injured), B Dale (injury), Jong (injury), Cavarra.

Only JJ is a certainty out of that lot to replace him, otherwise it would be on form.

I’d expect him to play most weeks - up until close to the byes - unless disaster strikes him or us.

Think people are just put off by him having no JLT. Not getting to see him and getting to see similar priced players around him gives confidence of picking others over Kelly I guess. Is also in line to be first one tagged now that Shiel is over at bomber land. Loves a tackle though so will still score well

Down to the last position and I am having trouble deciding

Dunkley v B Crouch/Rockliff.

If I roll with B crouch/rockliff it means that I'll have weaker forward line with only two premiums (danger and jelly).
I don't know how but I talked myself into believing that rocky will be back to his old pig status and I don't want to miss out.
any suggestions would be much appreciated

Appreciate the insight:padlock:

Sent this to them just now, they're really starting to piss me off now -

"This is a follow up email, as it appears no-one is getting back to me and there is now less than 26 hours 'til the season begins.

I'm not sure you understand the urgency in having a countdown timer, especially for new players. There are lots of people on the BigFooty forum that are very concerned that come 7:50PM tomorrow night, lockout won't commence. If that happens, then the whole fantasy season will be ruined.

If there is a lockout but there's no timer anymore, then please advise. I would strongly advise though that you put one in, as people will lose out because of it otherwise. Can you please respond asap as there are a fair few of us that are waiting to hear what the outlook is.

Also, would like to know why there is no advanced trade screen (as previously asked)? Will this be implemented before the end of the round, or is this another feature that hasn't been built in? Considering it is a quintessential part of the fantasy trading process, it seems odd that there is no area for this either.

Looking forward to your reply

Regards,

Nick"

No timer, no advanced trades, can't simply drag players around and instead have to flips cards and switch individually. Is there even going to be an indicator for selected/emergency/injured?

Having to load players in the list doesnt really bother me but it is weird that its needed now and never was before.

So far the new webpage is so far behind the old one its ridiculous and I won't be at all surprised if the real bugs come out once the season starts.

He will have to be on the long list of early upgrade targets. I think I might start with Ross depending on Archie Smith.

Good follow up mate, to be fair to them I don't think the advanced trade screen usually appears till the seaosn kicks off (as you can trade anyone anywhere prior to Round 1) but the lack of a countdoown is bonkers.

Also, where are the bloody green dots? That's the most essential part of the whole services.

I like a stronger forward line cos of the lack of reliable rooks, both scoring as Js wise. So, for me, Rocky is a wait n see type

If you had to choose one of the following players in each position which would it be:

Fwd
T Kelly
Heeney
Boak

Mid
Taranto
Sloane
Steele
Sheed

I would go with Heeney and Taranto. Even though I'm going with Sheed I don't plan to keep him all year unless he goes massive whereas I feel Taranto has a much better chance to be a keeper.
