I have a cunning plan for this match. My son will be umpiring the little league at half-time. He's a big lad for his age (nearly the same height as me at 13). Holding back Nank for another week. Think it’s the right move, I expect Soldo’s height and weight to be competitive with Gawn and Chol to stretch him forward.

Butler I don’t mind. I think it was either him or Markov and I think Markov has only just been switched forward.

Caddy for Cotchin was the obvious change.

I’m looking forward to the VFL game with the return of Ross and Marlion’s debut.

Would rather no Butler but, hopefully he can get back to 2017 form.

Sometimes I wonder whether voicing our strong negative thoughts on social media about a particular player then impacts the player’s performance. I’m guilty of it too, but it’s just something I ponder about occasionally.

I really thought that was the case with Vickery. When Richmond supporters were on his case social media wide, he’d have an ordinary stretch. When Richmond supporters were not on his case, he’d go alright.

Anyways, I don’t mind seeing Butler get a chance again. Do I expect him to be amazing and destroy Melbourne? Not really. However, he was a part of the Premiership team as others said so there may still be a spark somewhere. If there wasn’t any spark left then the club would not play him.

I want him to show the footy nous he used to display. Go for goal when you are in a good position and pass if it’s an unrealistic attempt. His clever decisions in the forward line is what I liked about him, but I feel like that’s been a problem area for him this season. Hopefully he rectified it in the opportunity he’s been given.
