Your reasoning? My biggest is jack martin. More mid time apparently but im worried hes too skinny to play mid. Tbh hes Pretty safe really averaged 83 past 2 seasons
I think Taylor and Henderson will play as KPDs leaving Blicavs to float around and get cheap touches. He's averaged a lot more than what he's priced at before. JLT watch.

Not so sure this will happen. He was amazing for Geelong last year playing as a key position defender. If anyone is to be a floater, you would think it would be Henderson - I don’t think they’ll actually run with this though. Care to shed some light on this Shadow89

Laird - Whitfield - Sicily - Williams - Williamson - Collins (Hore, Burgess)
Macrae - Cripps - Merrett - B.Crouch - Walsh - Wagner - Bewley - Atkins (Lyons, Hayes)
Gawn - Grundy (Fort, Cameron)
Dangerfield- Menegola - D.Smith - Setterfield - McAdam - Cavarra (Corbett, Petrucelle)

Pure Guns & Rookies for me (crouch and williams are basically guns) any feedback is appreciated...

They won't all fit in the same team. Even Kolo is a ? given how many tall defenders we now have. Most likely that Henderson or Taylor plays as centre half back and Blics plays full back. Scarlett has said, and I quote 'it's his backline now, he'll be controlling it.' Taylor will most likely retire at the end of this year, so he's the more likely one to miss out and just play a handful of games for the year.

We won't be using Blics as a stop-gap anymore, so I think his numbers will stay at around 75-80 or so, if that.

Like it

Tom Williamson done zero preseason will struggle to play early but thats a straight swap to Rozee or J.Clark

B.Crouch and Walsh at M4 and M5 respectively a bit light in mids but could potentially get away with it.

But yeh very guns/rookies and pretty vanilla structure id say.

This could be how i go and am currently considering.

I prefer to take a few more risk with midpricers.

If gawns named without preuss its hard to pass up for round 1. If the kickout rule turns to points then it will be hard to pass up Lloyd, Withers and Sicily

Yeah, even before the stats came out (showing that he only kicked to himself ONCE all year) I was on as I literally couldn't remember him kicking to himself.

Also making the assumption we will improve a little bit which will help his scoring.
I had him in my team last year, you can imagine how many times i was yelling at the tv to bloody kick to himself, i couldnt work out why he never did! He obviously doesnt play fantasy football, im not so sure he will even run out of the square

Also I wish the traders would stop bringing attention to Luke Ryan. Was going to be a POD for me this year.
Last month of the season he averaged around 50. Not sure about him tbh

I feel like grabbing all the potential breakout players this year. Mixing it up
Feeling the same, haha

Taranto, Worpel, English, Parfitt (maybe even Narkle), Florent, all looking like break out contenders with predominant midfield time

Just an FYI to all those looking for a huge POD - Ollie Florent looking like the most likely to go full midfield. Not only does Longmire love him, but he's also said that he'll be playing an 'inside, outside role.' No mention of playing forward. Awkwardly priced at 458K, but could bump his current average from 62 to 85 at least. Really strongly considering him at this point. Will see how he fares in JLT.

Actually think Petracca could take the next step this year. Everyone predicted it last year and feel we were probably a year too early on him

On my 'never again' list. Too many gun mids at Melbourne for him to play pure midfield. Also too expensive for his current output. Would absolutely have to smash JLT for me to consider

Fair point on the stacked midfield. He will no doubt get added midfield minutes this season, just how much is the question. Also makes me wonder if someone in the Dees midfield will suffer at all ala Brayshaw?

Nah, it won't be Bray. You don't finish 3rd in the Brownlow and get shifted from the midfield. Would imagine it'll stay relatively similar to last season, with maybe Jones and Salem getting less minutes and Vandenberg maybe not making best 22

I don’t mean so much as him being shifted out of the midfield. Just more so that there’ll be another big body in there vying for possession. Think I have read that Salem will be spending most of his time at HBF though so good point

Trac doesn't have the same spread and ability to gut run from arc to arc like Bray does. That's where Bray gets most of his score from, his +6's. A bit like Gaff in that respect, but better on the inside. Even if Trac took a few of those inside possessions, no chance that he'll be taking any of Bray's outside possies. Seeing some of his games last year, he's just a ball magnet

Been any mentions of James Cousins?

Word out of Hawthorn is he will be given first crack at the Mitchell hole, has played high centre minutes and is priced under 400k. Should have decent job security.

Perhaps BJK#5 might be able to shed some more light?

Check out page 72 on this man. Fair bit of chatter about that spot and it being Cousins for the taking

I'm going to throw James Cousins's name into the ring as a low-end mid-pricer to watch in the JLT.

Has previously been primarily used as a tagger at AFL level, hence his starting price of $289K (basically an overpriced rookie), based off an average of 51 from 4 games last year. At VFL level for the Hawks, however, he was an absolute ball magnet, averaging 16 kicks, 9 handballs and 5.5 tackles per game.

Watchers of the Hawks pre-season see him as a seeming to get first crack at filling Mitchell's role in the centre square, and I'd suggest it's more likely as a ball winner rather the negating role he's played previously.

Quoting myself from the RDT board
