I'm quite sad that it looks like Lewy will be moving on, great little character around the club, will be missed on and off field. I would have loved him to have some success with us before his career was finished.... maybe he'll do an Eddie Betts and after 3-5 years at another club he will return "home" to see out his career.

It doesn't rain much in Freeo!
It doesn't anything much in Freo. And he's there for 3 years? I'm starting to feel slightly sorry for him.

edit: Nope, I'm good again.

Yeah...Given his reported health condition, A lot of folk were thinking that Beams would put the cue in the rack...Mitch Cleary reckons Scharenberg & Aish will be the players to go so they can move money off the books.

I think it’s an easy answer mate. They rate Elliot above Aish. I try not to begrudge players that leave too much, but personally I have no problem with him being fed to the wolves. Hopefully he can keep them at bay with his umbrella ☂️

Is Phillips from the pies a good ball user? I know he has some nice run and carry. Could he be a good fit for us?

He is pretty handy. Played mostly wing i think, third yr player?, runs both ways pretty well, tackles well. I guess he could play off half back, may have started there before moving to wing, not sure. He wouldnt be on aish, sharenberg type money and i cant see the pies wanting to let him go. Would be a testament to the pies cash squeeze if they did.

Thanks for the insight mate. Heard on sen this morning that the pies may be looking to move him on. When you say not on Aish/Sharenberg money, would he be on more or less? Cheers.

The part I really love about this is the irony of us pushing Elliot’s contract price up that in turns place more pressure on the salary cap that becomes the reason Aish is jettisoned.

Thanks mate. I actually assumed that he would be on more after signing his last contract. But that shows how much I know lol. I would love us to look at him if indeed he is available.
