Some key points to take out of this lovely gentleman's viewing of the session (in relation to injuries):

- Kennedy did not feature
- Cottrell and Pickett on the indoor bikes
- Docherty doing straight line running, no strapping
- Williamson did warm-ups, run-throughs, some skills work with the main group but no match sim, finished up halfway through the session
- Macreadie, Marchbank and Lang were full participants in what was a 60-70% intensity session
- Kreuzer no match sim and thus unlikely to play AFL R1

how will you feel when he gets tackled, crashes a pack, comes down on one leg after a mark.........?

It's crazy to me how after an ACL guys can be running very quickly but can't actually play for close to a year...must be so frustrating for the players.

Once the swelling is down and you get enough range of motion back you can start to run. Just takes time for the graft to heal which takes time.

Usually the 4-7 month mark is quite dangerous because you start to feel really good with full range of motion and no swelling so you think you can do all activities but because the graft hasn’t full healed (9-12month mark) the chance of rapture is very high - its a frustrating period. Gradual increases in load and cutting exercises in controlled environments is key.

So nine players unavailable for round one, hopefully down to four for round two/three and down to two a week or two later. Given the thoroughness of their preparation, hopefully that means we’ll get a decent run with injuries during the matches this year.
