Just heard McGowan (WA premier)pour cold water on the Afl GF being in Wa as no one from interstate will be allowed in. Means WA would be absent from any championships in October due to border rules

That’s a shame a kid like Noah Cumberland (who only came to notice through this series last year) will remain undiscovered this year

There’s going to be plenty of those kids, they’ll get another chance next year.

Suns and Lions Academy playing a game in a few weeks by the looks and then if Sydney still ok heading down to play GWS and Swans in consecutive weeks apparently.

Have been told the Suns kids have been told this will go ahead , not sure if they would be able to play GWS atm if the western suburbs are out of bounds for Qlders atm.

Apparentely they are only allowed two 19 year olds each so will be interesting who makes the cut as the left overs draft prospects would almost be over. At the start of the season it was suggested that the academy clubs would like to add a 19 year to the list each year Ie Kieran Coleman to demonstrate their was a post draft pathway for those who missed out in their draft year.

With the Nab League country season, hopefully Covid stays away from these regions so they are not disrupted as well

I would probably choose Reville and Tozer if fit, GWS McGory and Delahunty, Sydney Thorne amd Barling

Think GWs playing the qld teams must be in doubt with half their suburbs being declared hotspots by the qld Government

After watching the first few rounds of the QAFL it looks like Alex Davies though injured is far and away Queenslands best draft prospect. Probably the next best would be Josh Gore but he is from last year's draft.
The others are struggling for consistency and are very difficult to seperate , in this group would be Crozier , Coleman , Johnstone,Abberley and Reeves etc , will be interesting if the Academys pick them up this year or allow then to go around again next year

Davies and Gore both dropped to reserve grade on weekend for Broadbeach? Not sure Davies absolute lock just yet?

Both will opportunity in upcoming academy games, but you would like to see them showing form in QAFL Seniors?

Stand corrected Gore ended up playing Seniors yesterday, after not being named. Must have been a late call up.

Davies didn’t play either grade so maybe he was injured? I did hear he was omitted.

Think some fun and games happen with selections made public, teams named are not the ones that take the field,player points may have something to do with this .Someone said Davies is out for a month with an elbow. Think Morningside will be hit the hardest when the Academy series start

Yeah if you were averaging 15 possies , 2 goals a game as a small forward you would be stiff to be dropped. Heaps of VFL players seemed to have come up to play Qafl this year, standard is as close to neafl as you can get ATM

Think it's a bit of both guys like Rueben Williams returning to Queensland while I think Broadbeach got some of the Southport Sharks Vic neafl recruits . Not sure if they are getting paid but guess they aren't on the couch watching Netflix like their poor Vic counterparts

NT has just closed its borders to Greater Sydney meaning they can only play the Qld teams now, wondering whether qld will follow suit

To pacify Goodguy , had a look at the Qafl results last night , Davies had a quite one , Gore and Coleman kicked two for their respective teams and Crozier was best on for his. One name to follow maybe Ashton Crossley who was a star junior but left the Suns after the suspension of his brother. Now doing well for Palm Beach

The latest is they may try and get Swans up here to play both Lions and Suns Academies. Would be some strict quarantines around that but I am sure AFL could work through that.

At this stage definitely have Suns, Lions and NT in a round robbin
