Collingwood's best pick is pick 16 atm.

I don't think they will get more than 28 from North for Stephenson.

If Treloar goes to the Dogs they have 14 as their pick atm.

14 and 16 for Gunston? Hmm. Not enough. They would have to give up also next year's first.

Look I'd like 2 keep Gunston but any club not named Richmond who wants 2 win a premiership and actually is close would.

He is perhaps (id say is) the best medium forward of his era.

And by far the smartest 4 his team mates. Including KPF.

well if treloar or the dogs pass on one another it bodes quite well for us to swoop in and grab him 'on our terms' as collingwood will be desperate at that point

It's very unlikely you will get a better player than Gunston with pick 14 and 16.

Also, when you bring young players in you still need leaders at the club who can help mentor and develop. So if you happen to get the right pieces for the next premiership, those pieces may end up been worth less if someone like Gunston leaves.

I still think Gunston can still play for another four years at least. If the Hawks are not contending by then, then something else is majorly amiss and no amount of draft picks will cure it.
