I dont like that the voting is public, gives the coaches more reason to vote for their own players at the top. I must say it. I must.

What's your opinion Headless and others?
How Petracca didn't get the max votes is ridiculous, but Bailey getting the same votes as Oliver and more than Gawn seems even more ridiculous

Bailey kicked four goals and was a big part of the reason the game was an even contest for much of it, seems fair to me to get 7 out of 30 possible votes.

Ultra effort if Oliver snags it here with so many players taking so many votes off him. The only other club to have more than one player above 50 is Essendon, who have two, but they're both 16+ votes off Oliver. The only players in that cluster up the top (70-79 votes) to share the top 20 with another player from there club are Bont and Oliver, but Bont is competing with just one in Macrae on 45, compared with Oliver's teammates on 55 and 53.

And of course TMac and Salem are just outside the top 20, but for all I know the other clubs also have a stack of players on 39-42 votes. I wonder if Goody is just very biased.

Jack Steele's second half of the year has been ridiculous.

Wasn't even in the top 20 after round 11.

coaches votes are just as bad as umpires votes honestly.
Agreed. Touk was clear BOG in Dogs v Suns yet Bont who had 14 clangers was given 9 votes! It is crazy to think a couple goals the other way and Touk would get 10 and Bont hardly a vote. At least that's the way I see it.

And how the hell does Viney get 2 votes? Goodwin giving 2 votes I'm guessing? I'm guessing this means he won't be getting dropped this week!

Must say I'm a bit perplexed by the Melbourne votes this week.

6 Oliver
4 Petracca
2 Viney
Viney is the only mystifying one there

Maybe his 11 tackles got him in the votes?

Clarko probably knows Viney kept them in it with his ball butchery.

Gawn, Oliver, Petracca is a pretty handy 3 star players
We could easily be a better team next year. Oliver and Trac probably haven’t peaked. Neither are yet consistent with good performances. If they can get that we are a force. Even now, any game where Oliver, Gawn and Trac all play well, you can pretty much lock in the 4 points

Our 3 best and most important players, when they are the best Melbourne players on the ground we win
