Who are the stand-out SC rookies for season 2021?
Who is likely to be selected to play in round 1?
Who are the mature agers to look for?
Are the top end draft picks worth their price?

Looks like Will Phillips is the early 'Rowell' type, with Alex Davies possibly the early season cheapie we love.
Trent Bianco, Jay Rantall , Finlay Macrae , and Reef McInnes are the ones who could play early.

Round one of every season will always spring a surprise debut.
But for now, let's begin a discussion on who we like at this stage, and which rookies to keep an eye on through the pre-season.

Alex Davies will unfortunately not see much light next season, in fact I think there will be next to no new guys for us at season start.

Names sub 250k to see some game time as season progresses-

- Flanders (watch)
- Hollands
- Sharp
- Farrar
- Jeffery (maybe)
- McLennan (form)
- Rosas (unlikely)
- Davies (unlikely)
- Murtagh (very unlikely)

Thompson is rookie priced and will be out there at a 30 average if he ever gets fit enough to play again

Didnt really think about him.

He escaped my mind a bit. One of Xerri/Comben was in the best 22 for me althought they may play J.Walker as a key fwd instead. However many roo fans would prefer the chop out and younger type

I dont see many draftees playing early that didnt play much in 2020. Although there are plenty of cheap mature aged guys or 2nd year players.


At the moment ive got guys like this in my squad or have been in my planning that might get early games

Hird/Cahill are both being tried off the halfback as well so maybe some value there
