im half asleep, ridiculously exhausted and busy but im looking at the board now and unles i fall asleep at the keyboard i will take my picks now

This rule needs to be changed you gotta be kidding me, no other league has a draft clock running from midnight to dawn, so i get home at midnight try to take my pick and im so exhuasted i pass out, everyone wants the rule changed you arent powerless to change the clock settings, it takes two clicks, why you run the clock overmidnight, what are we possums or something...

I am sure we had it stop over night in previous seasons? The comments about the draft going slow are not warranted. To organise a fast draft where everybody is online at the same time is not feasible. We seem to always get it done, and that is al that matters. If there is a time-limit in place, a coach is within his rights to take their time. Obviously deeman87 timing out is unfortunate, but errors happen. Nobody has been affected by it, so let's just change his picks and get on with it

I agree they’re not warranted and it’s not feasible. i’ve Used that to make my point. I don’t see the logic in the clock running. Yes I am all over it and have enough rankings to last my pick. So if I time out it’s ok. But when I suggest things it’s not just about me. It’s the avoid this kind of thing. We go over and fix things. Allocate top real draft pick. So what’s the harm

Yeah nah its allg its just a bit of a dumb rule to run the clock over night as u say. I obv shouldve set rankings and thats my bad, will be fixed up tho no harm done and i promise ill not time out on my other picks.

We’re an active league and we expect the managers to be active as well. A 12 hour window is a really generous window of time in which to make a pick. The system supports setting priority lists and setting your pick to autoselect, or even to have it select from your priority list if you timeout.

We’re all have similar circumstances and have things going on outside a fantasy football league (hence 12 hours to make a selection). I’m a single parent and a CTO at a public company but can make time to not just research (and trade) but administer the draft. I have no doubt everyone else has plenty going on as well but it isn’t the draft settings’ fault if you’ve not researched over the last couple months. UC has a rule in place for managers who time out due to circumstances beyond their control (like falling asleep at your computer) which would’ve meant you received Grainger-Barrass, you wouldn’t have been stuck with Lloyd.

One of which was complaints that it was unfair that someone gets an extra 8 hours to research/make a selection given the overnight shutdown Once preseason starts some managers had a habit of delaying picks as long as possible to be able to take in results from preseason matches which meant they had more exposed form from the draftees to work from.

Yeah, we want it to be done before the pre-season games, though me with late picks won't mind

No, I don’t believe it ever has.

12 hours on the clock is plenty of time to make a pick.

If you can’t make a pick within 12 hours, you’ll most likely know beforehand that you won’t be available to make the pick.

So it’s expected that you’ll set your auto picks.
