Kind of set a precedent now that we've allowed Deeman to change his picks. What happens now if AD doesn't take his pick in the next 7 hours and we make 10 picks before he's online again can he change his mind from DGB? Gets a bit messy. 12 hours is plenty long enough and if you've got time to post on BF, you've got time to make a pick.

We've made 14 picks in 48 hours and people want to slow it up even more? Please

No, I don’t believe it ever has.

12 hours on the clock is plenty of time to make a pick.

If you can’t make a pick within 12 hours, you’ll most likely know beforehand that you won’t be available to make the pick.

So it’s expected that you’ll set your auto picks.

I think you're correct that it hasn't stopped overnight. I think I might be getting confused with seasons where I've played in other leagues as well.

We had a precedent set pretty early on that if you timed out and you get a set pick that when you're back online you're free to swap from the remaining player pool. I think we ran into issues like this in our second season to be honest. So if AD gets DGB and 10 other picks are made in the meantime before he gets back on then he can swap for available players, but has no access to the other 10 players made. If, in deeman's case, he didn't have the next pick and held up the draft and people had selected Jones and Macrae using autoselect, or just as it was their turn at bat, then he'd have been able to swap from DGB, but only from available players (and not Jones or Macrae at that point).

Rules page states we have 24 hours per pick, though pretty sure that is a bit dated 😅

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

American Doggies receives:
Hugh McCluggage, Josh Worrell, RR RND 4 2021

Raiders receives:
P15, AD RND 1 2021, DYN RND 1 2021, P29

This puts Raiders on the clock.

Rockford to confirm.

Cool. Rather than everyone whinging about it let's just pause the draft, I'm happy to back it out and keep McCluggage who's got 10 years in the game and runs on the board and AD can use the picks instead. Quick everyone have a vote and let me know, I'm not up for a debate, if enough people want to complain about it then we can just revert it and carry on.

Sorry mate but that is complete daylight robbery. McCluggage is probably worth AD's future 1st alone.

That + 15 + another 1st + 29 is ludicrous

I disagree, but whatever. You're advocating trading McCluggage, 23 this season with 82 games under his belt and a fair expectation of another 10 years in the game for a lottery pick in a draft where we're unlikely to have any info on the potential draftees?

P29 was for Worrell. And no one had any issues when I traded all of Coniglio, Dev Smith and a 1st.

One vote to revert the trade registered. Anyone else?

We need some resolution on this sooner rather than later so AD and Zim can move forward either way. I've paid 3 x 1st rounders for similar players (Bontempelli, Cripps) and no one had any complaints then.

Nothing to resolve. Trade stands, we are all adults, and we haven't had a void/voting procedure for trades in this league for a long time, and for good reasons. Who knows how things will pan out. Bruhn might never get over his injuries and you have a dud, and McCluggage could end up the best UF players in the game

Doesn't matter, if it's been agreed to it's done. No point holding the draft up anymore I just think AD's future 1st (which, with all due respect will likely be top 2 if not pick 1) is more than enough to get the deal done.

Anyway, moving on..

He might have 10 years but I struggle to see American doggie being competitive with his list for many of them.

I will wait to be proven wrong on this but there is a lot of ground to make up especially without draft picks.

That was my main qualm, the trade makes no sense from AD's point of view. My worry is someone who is new to the game is being exploited here. The harsh reality is his list is in pretty poor shape, trades like that and the Sholl for Aish trade will only set him further behind.

I hear what you're saying but I think "exploited" is a pretty narrow view of it. McCluggage's value isn't any less because of the state of AD's list, and trading (and re-trading) is a way to improve said list.

Haychh you're on the clock.
