Interested to see how Petracca goes this season.
Improved out of sight, but also greatly benefited from shorter quarters, will he be running out full games this season?
Remember seeing Freako tweet about him during the first half of the year averaging something like 70+ points in the first half then dropping off significantly for the remainder of the game, not sure if he sorted it out by the end of the season.
Does anyone have or know where to find quarter by quarter scoring break downs? I know you can get DT scores on the AFL app, might have to have a squiz at that and just use the other formats scoring.

I would go piggy over him..

I think he would be a tad riskier then piggy Oliver only had 1 good season in shorter quarters plus his burst player we need info from the coaches lmfao

I thought had really high time on ground last year which is a decent sign even with shortened quarters.

TOG went from 88% to 89.9%, with shortened quarters that's less game time.

It's a concern. I was pretty keen on Petracca, but you have me wondering now.
I don't know of any SC source for quarter by quarter scores but FanFooty have them for Fantasy. As with most things on FF they're a bit of a mess but it was still possible to get fairly accurate figures. It seems Petracca scored 1469 Fantasy points for the season with about 54 per cent of them coming from the first half of games and 46 per cent coming from the second half of games ... about 7 points less in second halves on average. That's a significant drop off considering the quarters will be longer this season.

How many other mids were playing 90% on ground last year? I’d guess not many but could be wrong. Are they all a concern as well? I see it more as a % in relation to the whole team as all 22 need to play their fair share.
From what I can tell only Gaff and Neale had more TOG of the mids. Plus he’s genuinely dangerous resting forward. Very durable. I might be talking myself into picking him at this rate.

Tracc is leaner and stronger than same time last year (very hard to do), word is that he's been dominating training and doing whatever he pleases in match sim. I'm backing him in to have a Dusty 2017 like season.

Not every other mid has the same tendency to score prolifically in the first half the way Petracca did.

Petracca was 53rd overall for TOG% last season.
Gaff and Neale the only notable mids with higher TOG%s

Yeh, but he went from playing predominantly forward in 2019 to mostly midfield last year.

Also true, how do you reckon he'll go this year Birchy?

That's a very good point. Petracca's 90 per cent TOG is a high figure and he was actually going at more like 95 per cent over the final rounds. I've always believed Oliver was the Melbourne mid most helped by the shorter quarters and scaling and the fact he was consistently in the 80-85 per cent TOG range backs that up.

Why do you think Oliver was positively impacted by scaling in relation to short quarters?

Tracca has been :padlock: in my side for two weeks .....can't see him leaving my side, the penny dropped last year & his upside is still massive

Looks even more ripped this year
