I get moving Rams at Ravens to the early afternoon where a sh*t game like that can get buried among all the other games, but why flex Panthers at Saints into the late afternoon?
Yeah Bengals Chiefs should have been the game moved

**** off mate. CBS are not giving that game up.

No idea unless its to give the Saints players more time to clear covid protocols with gameday testing. but seems strange.

actually the Saints might of asked for the game to be moved to give the grounds crew more time since the Sugar Bowl is the night before. so it would give them more time to re-paint and change all the banners.

Calm down. One would think you own cbs or something
There are reasons why schedules work the way they do. and TV networks get a big input to games being moved around.

CBS wouldnt give that game to Fox [not that Fox would want to put it up against Dallas/Arizona] and if CBS had it in the late window they would only be allowed to show it in Ohio and Missouri markets.

the networks dont pay $2 Billion a season to show games in less markets or give away games to other networks. thats why CBS and Fox alternate who owns the national late window and can protect games from NBC/ESPN flexing them.
Prime time games other than then final week of the season also need to be flexed 12 days in advance.

The Rams/Ravens game could also have been moved the 1pm so that Fox can show Arizona/Dallas into the California market. with the Rams/Ravens no longer looking like a great game on paper.

Chargers only 32% to make the playoffs now after ******* themselves with too many 4th downs last week and losing to the Texans this week

They were 75% after last week and 88% after week 14

self pwn
Chargers gonna Charge. Weren't scores tied and they had 1st and 10 near midfield with 1 minute to go or so and just needed to get into fg range vs Chiefs?

Makes sense. But wait to announce that now when they would have known that the Sugar Bowl was going to be on Saturday night for a while?

I'm not saying that's rhe issue. But it could be with covid they might be down people or something. Or want a deep clean if the stadium and lockers between games.

NFL, NFLPA move to adopt new CDC isolation recommendations

Posted by Mike Florio on December 27, 2021, 7:54 PM EST

When it comes to the pandemic, the NFL and NFL Players Association have one overriding objective. To get the games in.

In that regard, the league and the union received a belated Christmas gift on Monday. The CDC has reduced the isolation time for individuals who have tested positive from 10 days to five. Per multiple reports, the NFL and NFLPA could soon implement that change in its own protocols.

This would mean, based on the current protocols, that unvaccinated persons who test positive will be gone for five days, not 10. It also would mean that vaccinated players who test positive can return after five days, even if they don’t test negative.

That’s a huge boost for the league as management and labor try to get all games in, through the end of the postseason. By getting players back sooner, it’s more likely that games will be played.
