Got a fantasy question you guys might be able to help with. I need to make a decision on Talbot or Merzlikins. I have Kahkonen who has been great. Should I run the Minnesota tandem or go with Elvis?

Flip a coin, if it lands on Elvis hope that he leaves the building and gets traded.

Never dont NHL fantasy so dunno how they score them, but personal preference I'd rather have Merzlikins over Talbot. I've seen Talbot get lit up too many time to think he's worthwhile

A royal shit show there at the moment.

We, on here, got rid of +/- as a fantasy stat a few years ago. The worst stat in sport. One day this stat will be banished to the waste bin of history and the world will be a better place for it.

Looked very solid until the Oilers overworked him with 153 games in two seasons. Lost it, and who wouldn’t in Edmonton, for a few seasons.

When I was recollecting about Talbot being overworked in Edmonton I wast thinking it was somewhere in the 130's before looking it up. 153... Even Glenn Hall would be shaking his head at that number.

He did an amazing job in that stretch. It might be why I’m kind of hesitant to drop him. Got a fond spot for him. Loved that he took on the goalie fight last season too.

I saw 2 of them. Didn’t know who to go for because I have Kessel on my team too. Haha.

Haven’t caught any of it but Vegas vs Blues looks like a good battle too.

Kaprizov is five years older than Lafrenière with six seasons of KHL under his belt.

Fair point. Lafreniere had big expectations. And for whatever reason KHL form is dismissed a little compared North American leagues. They think it’s a harder adjustment or something.

I’m with you though. It’s why I jumped at drafting Shesterkin in fantasy league.

Lafrenière didn't get a training camp and pre-season games this season which would make it more difficult to "get started" in the NHL.
Kaprizov had 293 games of pro hockey.

Hattrick for Kaprizov, his first in the NHL.
