Corey Perry has five goals ($750,000) the same number of goals as Jack Eichel (2), Jeff Skinner (1) & Taylor Hall (2) combined.
Eichel ($10M), Skinner ($9M) and Hall ($8M) = $27M

Dallas went with the rookie approach this year, made a call to let go of Perry and Janmark who were reliable and consistant bottom 6 players who contibuted well in the bubble. Replaced with rookies/ AHLers to play bottom 6th.

That approach would have been fine if you get no injuries so its only the top NHL ready rookies playing , but with Seguin and Radulov out pretty much all season, and Hintz every 2nd game

As a result Dallas is playing 4 to 5 rookies a night and outside of Robertson, none have stepped up.

Meanwhile Perry (5 goals) and Janmark (8 goals) are having solid seasons for the role they were signed to play.

Killing Dallas this year, 4th line is basically a taxi squad put together. No depth.

There has been some smart veteran additions on the cheap this year. Smart teams added them.

3 wins in Philly inside a week, still concede plenty but racking up the wins. In a bit of a purple patch currently and let’s hope it continues

Stars rookie goalie Jake Oettinger has had a nice start to his career in net for Dallas...but gets a growing monkey off the back today with his first win in OT/SO..was 0-5 before that. (More on the fails in front of him not to be able to convert in OT in previous games).

Still, good he finally got a post- regulation win.

Hes played well so far. Only 1 regulation loss in 10 starts. Top 5 in saves % and GAA for rookie goalies. Good signs from the kid.

Not really saying much when there are only 7 goalies with more than 10 starts.

Maybe the Monkey is still on Oettingers back.

Was great again today against Tampa (likely lose 7-3 without his first period)...also great in OT, but again boom, terrible in the shoot out letting in 2/2 shots.

Dallas may have to think about pulling for the extra attacker in the last minute of OT!

Happy we at least got a point though , being down 2 with 3 min left could have easily been 0 p ts.

Don’t think anyone is stopping Colton’s shot, near on perfect.
Attempted save on Point’s shot was leaky.
Pavelski looked like he had better things to do than participate in the circus.

12 in a row for Buffalo!
2 “loser” points in those 12 games.

I saw someone put out their weekly power rankings with Seattle 31 and Buffalo 32 😂

I saw that too.
Funny because it is true!
I’ve had the pleasure of watching them a few times this season and I know they have issues but they are just terrible. Yesterday we should’ve beaten them 10-0, they just don’t seem to have any ability to even scrap it out

That was in the Buffalo paper! I bet that stings. Surprised the coached hasn't been sacked yet. Eichel must be wanting out soon similar to McDavid. They're just above Detroits pace last season and that was an absolute stinker.

Where did you hear this? The projections from Toronto last year? All reports I've heard are pretty positive. He could have signed for 3 or 5 years but chose 8. He's basically building the team to suit him.
Because they;re constantly mediocre.
