Walker has ave in the 80s a number of times as well and these new rules seem to certainly be suiting him and with Adelaides faster ball movement I think he could go at 80 odd for the year.

In no ways am I expecting him to be a keeper but can get Webster to Walker with some DPP and ride the price rise. Went up 70k this round and will likely do that again this weekend so last chance to jump on I think for a month then becomes another premo for not much

Ranking only blew out to 1742 (-300 from last week) running with 10 rookies on field.

1st trade is pretty simple with Gaff > Brayshaw

Leaves me with 20k ITB for the second trade with Sharp/Scott/H. Jones on the chopping block. Not sure who to bring in as I think I have all the good rookies and not enough $ for the likes of McDonald/Chapman.

Guess I'll wait n see who gets dropped and play it from there.

Off 4 goals...

Got him to play midfield not forward. His scoring will be all over the place !

Sure but playing the BE game his BE will be low this week..

At this stage thinking:

Gaff > Titch
Dow > Campbell

Doesn't leave me a heap in the bank so feels super sideways but think I have to cut my losses on Gaff.

Surprised at how many are looking to bring Walker in. Flash in a pan for me. Buddy the only key forward who’s ever been worth a look at

Should make as much cash as any rookie over the next 3 weeks and probably give you a fair few more on field points, given their draw.

Don't think anyones proposing he's a season keeper

How long is Day out for?
My fwd line needs a boost so Dunkley & Walker in at this point but could swing Fantasia fwd and bring in a defender up to $696k instead of Walker + $226k in the bank.

Keen to hold some money though.

Not sure how many weeks Day could be out at this stage, but I'd say at least a couple given he didn't return. Have to wait and see this week.

If you didn't have Hind or Fanta, I'd bring them in, but otherwise, I can see why Walker would be a good choice - especially if it allows you to get Dunks and have a ton of spare cash for future trades (pretty much what I'm doing with Hardwick and Dusty haha)

After losing rookie roulette big time this week (Jordan, Campbell and Warner all on the bench) I'm needing assistance this week ladies and gents.

The obvious one is Caldnotwell -> Tex or Hind (which one?)
Then...??? Fix a rook and grab Highmore for Idun / Robertson (if not named)?

Kicking myself for chickening out of my planned second trade last week of Neale down to Titch because of my inherent resistance to sideways trading playing premos (first year playing AF after many playing DT).
Ended up wasting the second trade on meek to Chapman and leaving myself short on cash this week. Now have Gaff and Neale as giant anchors on my scoring output and fewer options to trade them to...
Question is do I shift one or the other now or just bite the bullet and build around them given they're bled so much cash (as I'd do in DT).

First few weeks are for correctional trades and rookie adjustments. If you feel that Neale wont bounce back then he's a straight swap to Titch, I have already swapped Gaff > Brayshaw (same $)

Thinking of going Gaff-> Butters and moving Dunks into the midfield then banking some cash.

Other option is Gaff-> Mitchell.

Torn. Help me

Started Hind so don't need him.
Tex only for the price rise and upcoming fixture. Just need to make money at all opportunities. Unless plans change, I'll have XO'Neill on mid bench which is a lot of $ but he'll be traded soon ish once the next crop of rookies hit.

Definitely want Dunkley against North this week.

Up til first DPP before round 6 I dont mind bringing in non keepers like Walker as they act as a bridge to who I will want.

Spot on. I'm actually thinking of bringing in Tex now for De Goey - I did not realize his BE was -4!! Basically means that he just has to step on the field, and he's already made you money haha. That does not happen often for midpricers. Not to mention, I reckon Dusty has a date with Hewett this week, so might give that one another week if possible.

Also allows me to upgrade one of my rucks to Witts next week if need be - considering Hunter has 1 week more left at most, and Flynn has got a tough run coming up

Hmm Gaff down to Walker and Webster up to Hardwick is looking mighty tempting this week which also give me plenty of cash to upgrade Sholl next week

Surely between Tex and Hardwick they can score reasonably over the next few weeks and make me a few hundred grand (hopefully more) with Hardwick maybe being a keeper (doubt)

PS remember Gee/Haw play Monday so team wont be named until every other teams has played most likely

Careful not to be fooled by Hardwick, the Tigers give up a lot of points to half backs and yesterdays games was one of the weirdest ones i have watched.

Hardwick 135, Impey 86, Jiath 85 and even Scrimshaw had 26 in the last quarter taking over for Day.

They all just had a day out against the Tigers.

Two injuries in Webster and Caldwell.. and ROB totally ruining my season. No idea what to do yet.

Initial thoughts are ROB to Witts and Caldwell to Dunkley. Field Highmore or Kosi for a week and worry about Webster next week.

With all the rookies scoring off the charts, some of the mid rangers who have been ok (Drew, Atkins etc) are kinda redundant at the moment

Hey Fantasy experts, would love some opinions on what I should do
Only $38k in the bank
Haven't used a trade yet

Scott looks like he'll be dropped, Lazzaro looks like a decent replacement
De Goey is a slight concer, doesn't look like he's getting the midfield minutes, but I think he'll do better than his round 1 score and lift his average
Forward bench is a concern
Lloyd not a great start for his price, but I think he'll be fine
Clark for $400k+ is not looking great

Is Scott really a priority though? He's just a bench player for you so hardly something to focus on short term.

Clark looking fine for his price. Role is good, getting plenty of the footy (about 20 touches), would've scored near 90 without frees against this week. Hold. De Goey playing majority forward is concerning, especially if it's taking him 4 goals to hit 90. Perhaps jump on Hind while you can and pocket 120k.

I don't see any glaring issues with your team so well done. That puts you ahead of most!

I think one priority you should look at is moving one of Jones/Fullarton for someone like Lazarro/Evans. This assumes Scott isn't dropped. Better cash gen and those two will struggle to make much more money sadly. I'd probably move Jones as there's a chance Full cops number 1 ruck if McInerny misses.

Clark is certainly tradeable but not sure you'll have enough money to get to anyone decent if you do the above. If you moved Jones to Evans you may have enough to go JDG to Isaac Smith potentially? Or you might be 5k or so short.... Tough decision but your team is in a wicked position! There's always Hind as an optino too

Rnd 2 cooked my ranking so can probably trade with a bit less stress and freedom now and a little more bravado.

Gaff/Tyson/Caldwell/DeGoey/Sholl/Steph/Drew/Scott are all firmly on notice.

Caldwell/Tyson probably forced trades at this point, but I make the mistake every year of not dumping my premos quick enough when they're clearly turned spud.

Gaff -> Titch
Caldwell -> Hind
Hopefully Tyson is dropped entirely and not used as a sub, so I can use him as a loophole.
