Trades 2021 Round 4 Fantasy Trades

This Flynn news has thrown things into chaos....

Have Witts, wasn't planning on trading him this week. Was waiting a week.

Do I risk having Meek as (E) in the rucks for one week - which would potentially have him at R2.

Or do I change plans and get a replacement ??

Because of some earlier DPP, Laird went to my backline so with Warner coming in I'm basically able to field him rather than Kosi/Highmore (if playing) and it give my forwardline an extra protective layer over Scott and Brockman.

Looks like my trades are already locked in which is scary but Young and Caldwell simply have to go. I've still been very tempted on Hind instead of Walker but I just don't see either of them as a top six forward at the end of the season so it's all about cash generation and playing the breakeven game. Tex has a -9 BE and Hind has a 31 BE, both tasty but the forty point difference is enough to convince me.

If Flynn is out it's only for a rest surely. Mummy comes in to bash and crash Grundy then goes straight back out. So we can't trade Flynn thats for sure.

I think I'll be fielding Meek for the week. There's not really any option...

The $500k to upgrade Flynn to Gawn seems like a total waste at this point and far too early.

Flynn to ROB maybe.. but geez... he hasn't warranted being picked just yet.

Meek should still get his 50-60 this week. Which is as much as Burgess will probably get. As Much as Campbell has got in 2/3 games. It’s not that big a deal imo

Yeah if it's true I don't actually mind that he's been rested for this one. Probably wouldn't have done much against Grundy anyway and gets his rest in while we've still got Meek around (hopefully). Probably only lose out on 20 odd points.

Would still be surprised if Flynn is actually rested though.

I could go:

Witts to Hickey - which then allows an upgrade or luxury trade.

I could go:

Clark to L Young - same points output, gives me nearly 90K, so I can then go
Witts to Marshall - risky, as we won't have seen him play.

Or I could go:

Clark to Burgess - which lets me go to Gawn.

Then Probably trade Witts to Meek or whatever the best elcheapo ruckman with 2 legs that's available and playing. Field them for this week and hope Flynn returns next week.
The other option i guess is bite the bullet and upgrade witts to Gawn but it'd be a big move and a bit of a waste having Flynn on the bench if he's only having a rest for 1 week.

If 2). Trade Witts to Grundy or Gawn (probably Grundy).Field Meek at R2 and hope Flynn returns next week.

Either way... hope Flynn returns next week

Yeah, I'm in a similar boat. I'd been planning on holding Witts at R3 and moving Flynn to R2 for the week while I figure my rucks out - so this week was gonna upgrade Young to Ridley. Luckily for me, I have enough in the bank to upgrade Witts to Gawn if needed instead.

Do you already have Meek in your team? If so, I think you could use him as E backup for Flynn. Most likely the rumour isn't true. But trading-in Meek this week would be a different story, I think. He might not have many more weeks before he's dropped.

What was your original plan? I assume to trade Witts to another position and then field Flynn?

Because honestly I'd just stick with that plan regardless of what happens with Flynn. Meek can cover him for a week for very little loss.

Yeah, I think if you've already got Meek as R4 (essentially) then you're golden. Just do your trades as you'd already planned.

For me, I think I'm gonna have to roll back my Ridley option, and go Witts -> Gawn this week. Cos I don't have any other cover (my ruck line had been Grundy-Witts-Flynn)

If Flynn isn't named tomorrow, I think I will go Witts to Max (Young to Martyn, Clark back to DEF) and just be set and forget with the rucks.

If he is named, then its Young to Robertsen and Clark to Walker.

Given you've got Meek utility you could virtually grab anyone from any line. Even just a rookie for this week and bank the cash.
No point having Witts sit there for a week if you can avoid it but agree probably better to not grab Marshall first week back.

XON was gonna be my ace in the hole given his ridiculous WAFL performance last week and Shue being out. Couple that with no Bergman, no idea about Flynn or Robertson, and it looks like there’s another very tough week ahead

For those wanting a rookie alternative to Robertsen, I reckon Will Martyn could be worth a crack.

Obviously a tough side to crack into, but Prestia and McIntosh are both out for a while. Averaged 116 in the NAB league as well, which compares well with the numbers of Gulden, Warner and Robertsen.
