Planned to get Gawn this week but I can do a double upgrade this week and Gawn will get super cheap after the turd he dropped today

As one of the 487 Hall owners in the comp I strongly advise against his acquisition this week. Never played a full season.. not a good bloke either

2 trades to somehow get in Hall, Daniel, Jelly. My forward line is my worse line by far so I think Hall and Jelly are the way to go.

Really trying to avoid speculative mid pricers this season, but with a soft fixture and a BE of 38, Hall is just too good to pass up.

The real question is Byrnes v. Collier-Dawkins.

Byrnes looked good playing as a high half-forward, working up and down the ground. His job security looks okay too: Saints don't have a lot of depth in the midfield, and aside from Mackenzie (who was suspended for a game and will be up for selection this week, but is a fringe player) there's no one obvious pushing for a spot. He won't score a 75 every week like he did against an uncompetitive Hawthorne, but he should be a relatively safe 50 from here on out.

I didn't see the Richmond game, but Collier-Dawkins' stats look okay - double the number of handballs to kicks, but five tackles to round out a solid 63. With Lambert, Cotchin and Prestia out for another three to four weeks, you'd think he'd get a nice block of games before they rest him. Can any Richmond fans shed some light on his job prospects?

Honestly, it's a great week for a double downgrade if you're willing to bet against Hall.

Good call re: Dunstan, forgot about him! Still, it took him until round 6 to crack into the team and was dropped for Byrnes the very next game, so I feel like it's Byrnes' spot to lose now.

Always seems the way after concussion. Even with the 12 day off thing. It's still basically missing the 1 game.
Not sure how bad his was (but went off very early never to return)

I think he also had to play tighter to his man because of Carlton's tall forward line
