Dogs players got vaxxed in Perth after the GF

He also did a get vaxxed post with his ice in veins

Also the Vic cutoff was ages ago

Bailey Smith has ongoing mental health issues

He missed a chunk of preseason last year for the same reason albeit this may be more family related if the media and journos are to be believed

He's also spoke heavily about his mental health battles quite openly and honestly

But Smith told the Common Chaos podcast in October that there were mental health challenges which came with his overnight fame. He revealed he had dealt with anxiety, panic attacks, difficulty sleeping and even eating disorder symptoms as he adapts to fans wanting to know his every move

He even inferred in his Draft year that a move to an interstate club wouldn't be good for him

Geelong defender Jack Henry has undergone surgery on a partial foot fracture, reports Channel 7’s Mitch Cleary.

Henry, who finished runner-up in the Cats’ best and fairest last year, will reportedly be sidelined for up to six weeks.

The 23-year-old has become an important cog in Geelong’s defence following a breakout 2021 season.

“The key defender was on light duties pre-Christmas, but fresh assessment revealed a partial foot fracture that will keep him off running for up to six weeks,” Cleary told 7 News on Wednesday night.

Henry made his AFL debut in 2018 and has gone on to play 90 games for the Cats. He signed a three-year contract extension last April.

Suggest this locks Finlayson into the FF role

Potentially improves Skinner's chances

Potentially improves Skinner's chances
I think Skinners chances were already great as a DEF ......was a contested marking beast in the SANFL last season ....he wasn't recruited to play SANFL, but to fill a spot in that defence

So the million dollar question - surely this opens the door for Hayes now as a backup tall? Marshall, Hayes and Georgiades down forward as talls (now that Ladhams has gone), and someone like Dylan Williams (maybe) to cover for Fantasia?

One thing is for sure, Port just got a lot more interesting - let's say that much!

EDIT: Forgot about stupid Finlayson...still need one more injury...

I still think Sam Hayes could be picked ahead of one of the 3 talls and they play 2 rucks (He's the lock R3 it's just whether he can become an R2 option at all )

Considering Tom Clurey couldn't get a game I'd say it's an uphill battle for Skinner. I think he's been recruited as backup or if they decide to go with true tall defenders

Remember they recruited Trengove Goldsack ect in past who were only recruited as backup. It's smart recruiting especially if they've gone with the plan that many players will miss with covid throughout they won't be relying on 18 yr old kids as much

Bowes did do his shoulder could be out till round 6

So Lachie Weller $669k Mid/Fwd off half back is juicy

It may speed up Alex Davies $350kish and Elijah Hollands $190k place in the team

This is an interesting issue which no-one has thought about ......Fantasia due to have a knee procedure done, but has been put on hold due to the ban on elective surgeries

How does the AFL wrangle around this ?
