He was in there last week then out and then back in I think a few hours before it seemed Hollands would play wing. I just hadn’t got around to fielding Hollands so really he wasn’t going to be in

If Hugo has another performance like that in either of the pre-season games he’s grabbing the Houli role by force. Would solve the F6 problem at a reasonable price with good scoring potential.
Only issue is he wasn’t stepping out of the square on his kick ins.. someone needs to have a chat to him

One was BOG in the role the other hardly got a kick. That’s the conclusion we’re working off at the minute
He’ll need to back it up again but his magnet won’t be getting moved too much

Yep, which makes you wonder why Rioli's ownership was so high?

Have to remember Rioli was moved to HB because he wasn’t working as a forward.. not because he was earmarked to fill Houli's boots. The spot is up for grabs. So far as a rebounding defender Hugo looks better suited. Far more run and also better in the air adding some intercepting to the spot.
There's also a world where we accommodate all of Rioli Hugo Mansell with Short pushing up to a wing to utilise his boot as a more attacking weapon similar to what Crows want to do with Dawson
