Yeah, I hated the pre-draft hype on Rachele ......I watched all the U18 match's that counted (championship games & academy v Geelong vfl side) .....he was very average against the better competition

Dominated the NAB U18 match's though

Talking young players up like that only makes it harder for them when they actually get out on the park - seen plenty of young players copping unwarranted criticism from the talking heads because of unrealistically high pre-draft expectations...

What do people think about Joshua Rachele, apparently locked to play round 1, everyone is raving about him at the club

Safer job security it seems but it is usually hard for a kick mark player in a weak side to score well

Think Stephensons debut year but he played for basically the beat side in the comp that year. Very kick mark but have more impact on games than fantasy score would suggest

Youd be far better off going willie if you were thinking rachelle imo

Averaged just over three goals a game in the VFL last year. Reckon he could still contend.

His SANFL premiership coach Jade Sheedy told the Herald Sun on Thursday he could make an impact at AFL level.

“He plays as a forward-ruck for us and he’s only 194cm but he does have a huge heart. His ability to throw himself at every contest and will himself at every ball separates him from the rest in our competition.

Ryder won't get a full season and surely it's his last but would be good to tank Marshal value making him a forward ruck grab him next year
