Grundy out - English/Xerri into R2 - Trade my only non-plaiyng rookie in Owens up to Smith.

A lot of people talking about trading Grundy. I totally get it, I’m just surprised people don’t have more pressing stuff to do. The fix-up weeks are behind us and we’re into the weeks where we should be racing to get rookies off the ground (although I will concede he’s scoring like one).

Think I’ll give him another week back at the MCG against an easier opponent and keep focusing on getting rookies up to premos.

And realistically, English should be in everyone's side as well... Currently #1 scoring forward, although TT may overtake him today....

Becomes a lot of mouths to feed though and they won't play North every week is my worry.

They way they share the ball around, no I don’t think it’s too many at all. The worry will be missing all of them at their bye. I’m less worried about Covid sweeping through a whole team than I was at the start of the year because (barring the WA teams) when it happens it seems to just be a player or two here and there, not the whole team.

Yeah for sure, plenty of good options to replace him with. I would have been all aboard if it was any time in the last 3 weeks when we had the luxury of ‘fix-up’ trades because our cows hadn’t fattened enough to start doing upgrades. Now that they have, I feel it’s a little late in the day to be doing those kinds of moves but I certainly wouldn’t blame anybody who did

I traded Rowell to Hobbs in my round 5 trades, and have over $500k banked I was that keen to have Rowell leave my team.

Gotta wait an extra day (Monday game) to reassemble my team post DPP.
It will be fun.

Tempted to trade Grundy. I've got Preuss, Xerri, will get S. Hayes next round, Dixon, J. Hayes who can cover the rucks- that's a good group.

Could get a Gibcus up to someone like Steele with the cash from Grundy--> Hayes.
Steele will average imo 15 more than Grundy from here, plus be a C option, and Hayes obviously makes way more cash than Gibcus.

I will get a rookie off field if I field Preuss for him and then bench a mid rookie and get premo mid.

No way I can afford to spend 300k for Hobbs when I have spuds like Rowell to upgrade. I'll need a downgrade that generates minimum 200k to upgrade a spud like Rowell
