Dawsons scoring has dried up now, 3 of 6 scores sub 90 and a break even +12 above his average. Thinking of going Dawson to Vlastuin who is averaging 101 from his last 7 games (taking out the 65 subbed 3rd quarter so wouldnt have been a bad score either) and has a low break even of only 46.

Pocket 75k in the trade, plus 19 onfield average (10 if include last 7 scores), earn 120k on Vlastuin before the byes.

Thoughts?

Houston? He's about the same price as Dawson

Looks like every fantasy coach in the league will have Gawn and Pruess now as their R1 and R2. Going to be a lot of identical teams this season
Couple of matchups in my leagues are already down to one or two uniques.. very odd for this time of the season. But i'll think they'll start to get more unique over the Byes and then tighten back up again afterwards.

Differentiation starts when all the popular / common starting rookies leave teams (Xerri, JHF, Martin, Rachele, etc)

Is Darcy Cameron an option now?

Will he able to watch him for a week but is a good scorer in the right role from memory

Maybe, maybe not.

Going Gawn is definitely safe but it's not great value paying up 908k for a 108 average when you can get a Wines for 50k less for a similar or better average. It might depend on how people rate Hayes scoring potential in the short term vs mid rookies.

I could see Gawn dropping an 80 down the line somewhere.

And now Parish is in a moon boot anyone have him?

English set to miss 2 to 3 more games

Hugh Dixon still not right

Rosas should be back this week but have cover

Dunno who to decide between for my mid upgrade. I could go the safe option of Clarry or go for a POD like Lyons or Laird

Grundy to pruess or go down to Coleman/Clark/Rozee ?

Other trade will be JHF to Wines/Cripps

Just feel like pruess train has sailed and bit pricey now

At this stage Grundy to Rozee and Rachele to Oliver (Hayes fills Grundy's spot).

Grundy injury really is annoying because of how much it interrupts plans. If I go to Gawn I am now just a week behind those who already have Gawn and so I need something out of the box to work.

Grundy out changes my 1 up 1 down which hurts, however having Xerri and keeping Gawn makes it feel like a small advantage?

  • Jack Hayes > G.Clark
  • Grundy > Oliver

  • Xerri moves to R2, leaving me with 178k to hopefully downgrade, upgrade next week.
  • O'Driscoll down next week and JHF up should give me roughly 900-950k for a midfielder.

J Hayes > S Hayes
JHF/Xerri > T. Miller

Luckily moved Grundy on a few weeks back for Pruess.

Uses most funds

One thing I got right 5 rounds ago - was going with my gut and going completely against the grain and trading Grundy instead of Gawn to get Preuss. Has been glorious not seeing that hipster doofus in my side every week annoying the crap out of me as he enjoys his 7 million dollars :tearsofjoy:

The biggest blessing in disguise this week, is that no-one will be trading Butters (37% of the comp has him and most within the Top 5000 have him) - because everyone will be trading Grundy as a forced out instead.

We all get one more week to see if he bounces back after illness/in game knock - without being worried about him pumping out another shit score and it adversely affecting us.

I am starting to get curious about Rozee given insiders are saying this is a mid move, though...which would mean Mills would wait 'til next week...

By far the biggest 'crossroads' moment of the season, IMO.

Petracca for the immediate effect against Hawthorn
vs
Wines

Reckon you can afford to give Wines 1 more week, IMO. His BE is still 133, so he won't go up anymore in price - but he could come down a little more.

Personally, I'm waiting 'til after his bye to grab him - as I have way too many Round 12 players as it is, and have been using my trades each week to get some more Round 13 ones in at their expense
