Looks like I am gonna be a psychopath, as the only way I truly make sure I avoid a donut with a Daicos late out - is to get rid of a forward.

I'd either trade him this week or next, so it's gonna have to be now to give myself the best shot...

...

C. Curnow > G. Clark (if he plays) via N. Martin forward
NOD > Doch

Gives me a sh*t ton of loops, allows me to see McComb and SDK, and reverse the trades if I need (as Eagles and Blues play on the Sunday) and also make sure I avoid a donut. Only have 1K remaining...so that's gotta signal something.

Like it mate. I've got a couple of scenarios ready to go depending on whether Daicos is a late out or not tomorrow. Playing first certainly helps.

Am i mad for considering Rory Thompson? He wont make huge money but he has J/S (i assume) and he will be a dependable green dot for the rest of the year on the DEF bench.

What is the bet if i leave my defence as is with SDK cover for if Hewett or Daicos is a late out both will be and if i trade one both will play.

I swear the coach's get emailed my team and 1 of them gets to choose how to fu** with it every week.

Thats my concern, at least Daicos is first up....

Somehow my trades of NOD/JHF > Clark/Oliver that were devised a full 2 weeks ago have not only survived but been aided in happening.

Something almost has to go wrong between now and bounce time because that is far from normal.

So this is an incredibly f*cking convoluted plan - but that's what happens when every rookie in existence seems to be getting dropped/injured in the same week. Have had to quadruple check that everyone is in the right spot, so that if I want to straight reverse the trades, I haven't moved anyone around that I shouldn't of.

This is the side after trades:

1st: McComb plays on Friday night. If he scores over 65, I switch Ward on field, reverse my G. Clark trade and possibly wait 'til next week to grab him (or have him on the bench) as I already have a decent score on field. If I don't do this, Nic Martin gets benched and his floor is around a 70 - which is a waste. If McComb scores under 65 - Clark stays where he is and we move on.

2nd: SDK plays on Saturday afternoon. If he scores over 60, I reverse my upgrade trade and loop NOD whilst keeping Curnow and looping Martin on the bench with H. Dixon (doesn't seem like he'll play given Jamieson stayed in and he was one of the Nightclub 7 who was in crap form anyway). If he scores under 60, we move forward to the 3rd step.

3rd: If SDK scored under 60, then trades stay in place, as both McComb and SDK have scored poorly, and need to have their scores replaced. If only one scores poorly, then that's the trade in I make. If both score well, then both my trades are reversed, and I can make something of a 'luxury' trade, whilst holding Curnow for the week.

Lastly: This also allows me to captaincy loop in multiple positions, without screwing that up either. Allows me to basically see if I even need to make an upgrade trade, and then reverse my trades if I don't. Clark will likely stay in regardless with some shuffling, but Doch is entirely optional on the basis that Daicos plays. If Daicos DOESN'T play, I'll still hold him but make my trades using Curnow and NOD to fix up BOTH backline spots for the week bringing in some very interesting PODS :tearsofjoy:.

As I said...a lot of machinations, but absolutely the safest move which seems to have actually given me a much higher projected score too - so the best I can do without butchering my team.

Will be interesting to see how this all goes, as I'm sure it could all definitely fall apart with just one more late out hahaha :tearsofjoy:

EDIT: Dawson instead of Doch, but everything else the same (bye structure forces me to do this)

Thinking:
JHF > Clark
Butters > Cameron
$650k in the bank

I'd rather not ditch Butters but he just doesn't seem worth holding. Gives me a warchest to start upgrading over the next few weeks.
I'm in a similar boat. I'm trading out butters and deciding between Cameron (Coll) and Parker (Syd). I feel Cameron's BE and his potential DPP status make him a more urgent selection with Grundy out. Are you weighing any other forward options?

Are you still in Europe mate? Looking forward to those 3am reverse trade moves in between day games after a few bevvies?

What could possible go wrong? :tearsofjoy:

Trust me, I've made like quadruple sure - because that can definitely happen with just one wrong move.

Literally all that happens, is Curnow becomes Clark (both Sunday) via Nic Martin forward (Saturday night) and NOD (Sunday) becomes Doch (Sunday)

No other moving parts - as I specifically moved everyone before I made my trades - which is paramount
