So with Whitfield out I have 980k+ to play with.

Already have Mills, Oliver, Petracca, Crae, Kelly and Cripps.

So who else do I splurge on?
I would have said Laird but…

Neale or Cripps are highly selected, maybe one of this to bring a fair few people down to my level 🤣🤣

Looking at Laird as a POD
…buyer beware 😆

Looks like I'm holding Cogs and waiting a week on Wines.

Dixon > Khamis
Bowey > Stewart

Just don't trust Rich or Lloyd enough I don't think.

Gives me a backline of Short, Stewart, Zorko, Sicily, Hewett and Whitfield.

Martin > Wines & McInnes > Long/Soligo next week.
I was so so close to the no ginger team I desired.

Now they both probably stay. Malakas both of them and Whit too

Well this changes my team a bit, want to stick to the rookie upgrade so have gone to-

Whitfield > Lloyd
Daicos > Wines

ideally would like neither of those players as stupid as that sounds, but both should be about the mark and can upgrade again if required once I get rid of the last 2 rooks

You know what, bring it the f**k on. I’m glad Whitfield is out, I would have held the little muppet until his bye if he wasn’t… this is the perfect excuse to go now and fire him into the sun never to be seen again.

JHF -> C.Stephens/Soligo
Whitfield -> B.Crouch via DPP

Means I keep N.Daicos, probably until his bye, which is not ideal but what can you do.

Could get Wines instead of Brouch but every man and his dog is getting Wines, so I’m going the POD route and getting Brouch for around the same price with the same bye. Should go great guns without Steele

I hate Whitfield as much as the next guy although after a deep breath he has scored 96 from the last 5 other than that debacle 46.

What's actually wrong with him other than being a campaigner?

I may hold this week only because trading him doesn't make my team any better.

It'll still end up being 1 rook and 1 upgrade.

For me, it's because either way I'm screwed - so I have to trade the guy who isn't playing - Whit - over the guy who does - Daicos - (because if Crisp is a late out I'm copping a donut then). At least this way, I get the possibility that Crisp somehow gets up, and I have cover in SDK in the event that he doesn't. I'm literally forced into it, lol

Normally i would stay the course with my trades and hold a premo but Shitfield pisses me off so much this year and as an added bonus trading him helps with my bye structure so **** off Shitfield you fraud.

I think it’s just that he teases every year and inevitably gets injured and costs us trades every year as well. For every 190 ceiling game there’s a million soft injuries or sub-par performances and we’re all annoyed we got sucked in yet again.

End of the day it’s our own fault more than it’s his, but please stop bringing logic to this thread, it’s not wanted here 😝

I guess I'm "lucky" in that one of my trade-outs was a... "capable".. no wait "average" ... no wait... "playing" defender in Bowey.

So undoing the trade sort of feels like a free player to patch up the missing Whit.

And Khamis can hopefully fire out a 50-60 as a Crisp replacement.

I'm annoyed I didnt trade him at the start of the year. I hated the sight of him from the start and his % owned has been massive.

Would've been a good one to fade and swap to a Sinclair type.

If only...

FFS SM told us this would happen in pre season too. And deep down we all knew it too.
You’re right SM was the one who steadfastly said he was a trap and a bad pick (I knew it was somebody on here who did but couldn’t remember who). The rest of us were like “yeah he’s a bad pick prick but he’s priced the cheapest he’s ever been so yeah we’re ready to be hurt again.”

And here we are.

The question is will we all fall for his shit next year when he is VALUE again :drunk:
