SFA's the only option. teams who are finished for the year have already signed the practice squad players to futures contracts.

Thats exactly the point, better to have your known quantity and nurse him through his confidence slump, than potentially someone worse.

Give him another shot if/when you can.

Giving him another shot, even if he misses is better for his confidence than pulling him. Got the luxury of a blowout to help here.
