Can't believe this is our first SCG Prelim since the Lockett behind game. I was all of two years old back then too!

We're currently 4-1 in Sydney prelims which is nice.

Nerves have been in all week. Will be scared to think about how I feel at around 3pm.

Version of hell is losing to Collingwood in a prelim or winning and losing to family team in Geelong.

However, 2012 was similar in terms of some nightmare matchups and it made the win all that much better.

I'd prefer a powerful start & to blow them out of the park early, but I'm tipping the first quarter will be a struggle as nerves are released and the boys & horse get their footing and adjust to the oppo...we've seen this a bit this year and nothing to be concerned about.
Then we'll start to pull away in 2nd quarter and so on.

We've heard this said in different ways from different people at the club a lot lately. They've obviously had a huge amount of self belief all year.

I've heard both Longmire and Harley respond to Journos asking if they were surprised with our form or if we are ahead of schedule basically saying no... we knew we were good enough.

Personally I always thought this year would be a stepping stone to a tilt in 2023 but they've proven me wrong. We're good enough right now.

When you look back on our losses this season they've basically all been occasions where we probably got ahead of ourselves. Every major challenge or big game with high stakes the team has passed with flying colours.

Collingwood and Geelong are the only teams left in our way and we have their measure.

We'll be up by under 5 points with 2 minutes to go & we'll kick a controversial goal in this time to win by 8-11 points.
We won't hear about how well we played but how the umps & AFL stitched up the Pies.
