My side is completely ****ed. Tried o roll the dice with Culley for one week after back to back 70+ scores thinking hey, one of my dud forwards drops a 60 every week may as well be Culley. Scores a 30, gets suspended and gets injured. campaigner. My side is so cooked its now almost been caught by my 'girlfriends team' in which i purposely selected unique picks and dont check across the round meaning i never loop or pick up late outs like Cogs this week. That team looks a **** load better than mine right now.

Zerrett C helped greatly last week. Up to 79th overall now!!

Backline is a rabble (didn't help bringing in Berg last week either) + ROB needs to go.

Hall would be a target but Clark is just going to sit on him all game. Parker looking juicy too. May be a one up one down sort of scenario. Lets see how teams play out.

BE 57. 30 touches as a ruck. I think so
Doesn't play a statue like big boy each week, blicavs will run with him this week and on the smaller ground those numbers will be less. Also English didn't have a good time last week against the cats andddd Campbell probably in this week vs the two rucks

Think I'll do a '1 up/1 down' this week and build the bank for the last 2 weeks.....

RO'B > Mills
Soligo > 190k DPP

They are good point. I’m not expecting a 160 again. But a 100-105 average is very achievable. Campbell in would make it interesting

How many people on bf are in the top 100 rankings? I have to assume most of them since only a knowledge footy fan could do it

As a non Laird owner, Zerrett is my answer to him atm. 135 point 2nd half is huge

Next 2 aren’t great though. GWS probably tag him and Port are the most restrictive team in the comp atm
Yeah Port will be a low one, they only exist to stop fantasy points now. GWS haven't been tagging under McVeigh so dunno if they will.

  • Crisp > Stewart
Other considerations included Redman/Hall/Brayshaw but feel Stews run home is better. There's also an argument to trade out Sic/ROB but Crisp is unique in this week's elimination matchup. V disappointing as I traded him in 2 weeks ago instead of Lloyd (first failed trade in 4 weeks).

ps. Im definitely on borrowed time, should have lost last few weeks!

Port is so weird. They don’t really tag (Drew occasionally) but no one can score against them. Think they’ve only conceded 2-3 120+ scores all year
No marks.. especially opposition mids, they just dont allow any for whatever reason. Wonder if they play more of a man defence in across the ground, rather than the in vogue zoning?

Would love to see the data behind it. Sounds great in theory not allowing opposition marks but you could argue it’s not a winning strategy given how their season has panned out.

Most of the top teams seem happy enough to allow short marks in favour of getting back to defend further up the ground and long down the line. Take Tiges 2017-20 for example, we were one of the easiest to rack up possessions and marks against but the hardest to put it on the scoreboard against. Winning strategy seems to be letting oppo get anything they want in non damaging areas and loading up the numbers further up the ground to cut if off where it actually counts.

I Would agree with all of that.. Its what most of the best teams do - give up the garbage possessions but not allow anything dangerous in the front half. Melb are big for it too.

Its funny, because i only have Amon i dont pay much attention to PA games from a "whats happening" POV so not too sure what it actually looks like. In alot of games though, they chip around the backline for 1 minute here and there and they all get a touch whilst taking up time in the game etc

Very curious to see how Parish back affects Zerrett's output too. That's been the thing holding me back from trading him in.

Any suggestions?

At the moment, I'm leaning towards a simple up/down, with Crisp to Doc as I feel I need a bit more cash on ground to do some sideways stuff in the last couple of games.
