It is about this time every year the crazy ruck teams fall on their faces.
Hunter getting dropped last year did it.
It never works.

There's always some exceptions mate, starting Hickey worked great for me last year, was in the top-400-1000 based largely on that and starting Jiath/Cumming until I made some trades to several unique premos who got injured at upgrade time, dropped horrible scores in the process (single figure in one case) and plummeted in value.

This year R3 I traded Gawn to Martin (+$550K), moved Preuss off the bench to R2 and Hayes to R3 off the forward bench, upgraded Perkins to Jackson for $100K which is looking a big win, this week I'll upgrade Berry to Green for $200K which will very likely be a big win, and I'll have plenty of cash to take advantage of the likes of Oliver dipping in price. Also means I didn't have to cull any performing cash cows to fit Martin in.

If Preuss survives long enough to reach $450K+ (+250K), Jackson maintains an average around $550K (+$180K), Green can maintain around $600K (+100K), and I can invest the other $250K wisely (e.g rookie>Oliver), I may miss a game or two where Max goes large, but I'll make up the points in other ways and bring a ton of cash in.

No regrets whatsoever on the trade, it's impossible for Gawn to become significantly more expensive than he started.

Yeah and 99% of the time they put a quick runner as sub who can come on and make an impact. Doubt Hayes is sub material

Now, I’m not a cardiovascular surgeon, but I’m pretty sure heart irregularities predated covid and/or vaccines.
