We had injuries this year and Bowes barely played.
Why pay him 500k odd to be injury cover?
Club clearly don't see him as a best 22 member so no point keeping him.
We still have depth, everyone is getting a little bit hysterical over losing non best 22 players.

You'll notice they have tonnes of players on long deals which means they're getting very creative with front and back loading on contracts.

As players are less willing to sign 5-7 years deal with us we don't have this weapon.
